Resignedly, she closed her eyes, waiting for the impending pain.
The expected pain didn’t co. Her body was embraced by a pair of strong, big palms.
Sophie Sullivan opened her eyes and saw the man’s elegantly curved chin. She smiled, boldly wrapping her arms around his neck.
She looked like a little rascal, determined to cling to him.
"Let go." Thomas Shannon’s voice was cold and emotionless.
There was a hint of sarcasm in his eyes.
Mocking her for overestimating herself, and even more so for her wild imagination.
She was the first woman to volunteer for a mission.
Since she didn’t value herself, why shouldn’t he grant her wish and let her fall to the very bottom?
"No..." Sophie swayed her body a bit and clung tightly to his neck. "Young Master, I need to take my dicine."
"What does that have to do with ?"
"Wasn’t it you who disliked my voice?"

"Young Master, wasn’t it you who disliked it?"
"Shut up!"
Exhausted, Sophie didn’t have the energy to care about what he said. She rested her head on his chest, gently closed her eyelids, and prepared to rest for a while.
"Let go, you maniac!"

Sophie opened her eyes, frowning and looking puzzled. "What’s wrong?"

Sophie reluctantly let go of him. This ti, without relying on his strength, she straightened her legs by herself and could stand properly.
Her hands hung by her sides, and she looked very well-behaved.
Thomas Shannon’s brow furrowed. His handso face darkened, and a terrifying storm brewed in his deep eyes.
He unbuttoned his shirt with one hand, starting elegantly, then gradually speeding up, becoming more and more impatient.

He flung his shirt over her head, covering her. Sophie quickly pulled it down.

Her words were certainly sweet now. Thomas Shannon hooked the corner of his mouth, staring at her with a half-smile. "Who would rather sleep with that pig than serve ?"
"How would I know that the mission target was a pig?"
"Did you think the mission was for enjoynt? Did you expect them to find you a handso, intelligent, and well-built Mr. World?"
Sophie lost the staring contest.
She lowered her head. "I was wrong."
"Say it louder."
"I said, I know I was wrong!"
"Hmph!" Thomas Shannon released her. As the elevator reached the ground floor, he strode away without a sideways glance.
