Sophie Sullivan glanced at her and then looked away, heading towards the kitchen without saying a word.
When Sophie entered the kitchen, the Chief Chef stared at her, his expression guarded.
Sophie’s lips curved slightly. "The Young Master asked to cook tonight’s dinner. You didn’t know?"
The Chief Chef knew. That was precisely why he watched her so cautiously.
He was terrified she would concoct so witches’ cuisine and poison his Young Master’s delicate stomach!
What on earth is the Young Master thinking? the Chief Chef grumbled internally. How could he suddenly issue such a bizarre order? Have my cooking skills deteriorated? Miss Shaw doesn’t eat midnight snacks, yet the Young Master issued such an order...
The Chief Chef was gripped by panic. I’m going to lose my position!
"Leave this to . You all can go," Sophie rolled up her sleeves, looking as though she was about to take charge of the cooking.
The Chief Chef shook his head. "The Young Master’s al cannot be taken lightly. I’ll watch from the side."
Sophie didn’t insist, agreeing readily. "Fine, then you’ll be my assistant. But rember, just assist. Don’t interfere."
And I’m not allowed to interfere?
The Chief Chef could only nod, his expression grim.
Sophie knew nothing about cooking, but that didn’t stop her from being confident about tonight’s dinner.
The refrigerator was packed with food. Sophie grabbed whatever caught her eye and tossed it to the Chief Chef.
"Maniac, what are you planning to make?"
"It’s a secret."
Chief Chef: "..."
A servant entered from outside. "Maniac," the servant said, "Miss Shaw ntioned she doesn’t eat spicy food, so tonight’s dinner should be on the lighter side."
"Which Miss Shaw?" Sophie didn’t even raise her head, completely engrossed in selecting vegetables.
"That would be Miss Alia Shaw."
"And what were Thomas Shannon’s orders?"
Though puzzled, the servant answered truthfully, "The Young Master asked you to prepare tonight’s dinner."
Sophie slamd the refrigerator door shut. She glared at the servant impatiently. "So, am I cooking for the Young Master, or for that Alia Shaw?"
"Well..." the servant reminded her softly, "the Young Master and Miss Shaw will be dining together."
"Having dinner together," is it? Perfect. I’ll just have to add a few *extra* dishes for them tonight!
Sophie’s lips curved slightly. "Do you understand the difference between primary and secondary?"
The servant nodded. Of course. Everything revolved around the Young Master; he was the absolute priority.
"Tell , who is more important: Alia Shaw or Thomas Shannon?"
"Of course, it’s the Young Master."
Satisfied, Sophie turned back to the open refrigerator. "Good. Then retract that nonsense you just spouted."
The servant resentfully left the kitchen. Upon returning to the main hall, he relayed Sophie’s exact words to Alia Shaw.
"It’s fine." Alia Shaw smiled gently.
Such a good temperant, such impeccable manners; she was truly soone impossible to dislike.
In contrast, the maniac’s arrogant and insolent attitude was thoroughly repellent.
The large kitchen was a hive of activity.
The Chief Chef personally handled all the minor tasks like washing vegetables, preparing side dishes, and cutting at.
Sophie stood to one side like a commander, directing his every move.
Once all the ingredients were prepared, they were arranged on a series of ceramic plates.
Sophie donned an apron. A mischievous glint lit up her eyes, and the corners of her lips curved into a smirk. "Everyone, step back," she announced.
Chief Chef: "..."
Servant: "..."
This little maniac is definitely up to sothing big!
「Evening. 6:45 p.m.」
A fleet of cars, like a raging dragon, slowly rolled to a stop in front of the castle fountain.
Charlie River got out of the car first and opened the car door. "Young Master, please."
