He picked up his coffee and took a sip. "Samuel, how have you been lately?"

Alia clenched her fists, countless questions flashing through her mind. "Frank, have you... have you already paid off your debts?"

Alia spun around suddenly, glaring at him fiercely. "This has nothing to do with you."

Frank Mitchell stood up, looking down at her condescendingly. He clenched his teeth, grabbed her jaw with one hand, and tilted her head up. "You really are heartless, Samuel. What am I supposed to do with you, hmm?"

"And what if I say no?"

Alia’s eyes reddened. "What more do you want from ? You couldn’t give happiness; are you now trying to destroy the little peace I have left?"

Frank Mitchell’s breath caught in his throat. A flicker of sothing passed through his eyes, and he released her.

Tears welled in Alia’s eyes. "Frank, we loved each other once. I hope we can part on good terms."
