Sophie leaned on the chair back, her eyes closed to rest her mind.
Upon arrival at the airport, she boarded the airplane smoothly.
Thomas Shannon didn’t utter a single word throughout the entire process.
His facial color was alarmingly grim.
Harry was also held in the man in black’s embrace, too timid to make a peep and incredibly well-behaved.
The airplane landed at Imperial City International Airport. Sophie and Thomas Shannon parted ways upon leaving the airport.
Back at the manor, the first thing Sophie did was go to her bedroom to take her dicine.
Spotting the maniac, Alia Shaw was taken aback. "How are you back already?"
Sophie gave her a side-eye. "That’s none of your business."
She’s back. Does that an Thomas Shannon is also back?
Alia Shaw’s gaze wandered around. After searching the room, she was disappointed to find that Thomas Shannon had not returned.
It seems impossible to get any ssage from the maniac’s mouth.
She pursed her lips and returned to her own bedroom.
For three consecutive days, Sophie didn’t see Thomas Shannon.
Perhaps it had sothing to do with the telephone call he had received.
Sophie went to the dical office to find the doctor. Seeing her, the doctor imdiately knew she was there again about her vocal cords.
"Lie down first. Let give you an examination."
Sophie obediently lay down on the examination table. The doctor turned on the lamp. The dazzling light shone down, prompting her to instinctively close her eyes.
After the doctor ticulously examined her, he remarked, "Your recovery is going well. You can have the surgery in two days. Before the surgery, prepare yourself ntally. The surgery won’t be able to restore your original voice one hundred percent. Perhaps it will only be about eighty percent, or even lower, possibly only sixty percent."
It can’t be fully restored?
Hearing these words, a deep sense of disappointnt brushed the tip of Sophie’s heart.
The doctor saw her expression. Knowing she must be feeling down, he reassured her, "Don’t worry. Even if it only recovers sixty percent, your voice will be much better than it is now."
"I understand. Thank you, Doctor."
Leaving the dical office, Sophie wandered aimlessly alone, and before she knew it, she had walked into the flower garden.

Unfortunately, she overheard a familiar voice.
It seed Alia Shaw was on a telephone call. Sophie couldn’t tell who she was talking to, but Alia was being mysterious enough to hide in the flower garden for it.
Sophie cautiously hid herself. Judging by Alia Shaw’s expression, she was definitely panicking.

Vaguely, Sophie heard Alia Shaw say this sentence.
Although she knew eavesdropping was extrely impolite, when the subject was Alia Shaw, Sophie just couldn’t control herself.

Alia Shaw hung up the telephone and furtively left the flower garden.

Whether she recovered eighty percent or sixty percent, for her, it would be much better than her bad situation now.
Although disappointnt still lingered inside her heart, and she deeply wanted to know what her own original voice sounded like. But she had no choice.
One must learn to be content in life. She didn’t dare to hope for too much.
