Thomas Shannon’s voice held a hint of indolence. Low and deep, it drifted into her ears.
Sophie Sullivan’s nerves imdiately tensed. "I don’t understand what you’re talking about."
"Will you choose for yourself, or shall I decide for you?"
This non-negotiable tone is so infuriating!
Sophie Sullivan gripped the telephone, stood up, and growled at Thomas Shannon on the other end, "Thomas Shannon, stop making my decisions for ! Who are you to ? What right do you have to decide for ?"
"Maniac, have I indulged you too much, letting you forget your place?"
In contrast to her exasperation, Thomas Shannon’s tone remained unhurried, almost languid.
The contrast only highlighted her utter helplessness.
Sophie Sullivan laughed self-deprecatingly. "I don’t need your kind reminder; I know my place. Am I not just the victim you bully?"
A long silence followed on the other end of the telephone.
Sophie Sullivan laughed coldly. "What’s wrong? Afraid to admit it?"

Thomas Shannon hung up the phone.
Sophie Sullivan finally felt so of the tightness in her chest ease. Why should he be the one to decide for her? It’s her body; she makes the decisions!
「Private leisure club, indoor warm spring pool.」
Thomas Shannon casually tossed his mobile phone to Charlie River. Nearby, William Guillen, who was enjoying a massage from two masseuses, opened his eyes a fraction. "Did the maniac get to you again?"
"You talk too much."
Thomas Shannon glanced at him and leaned back against the edge of the pool.
William Guillen closed his eyes languidly and said to the masseuse behind him, "My right shoulder, a bit harder. Don’t be too gentle."

Compared to the tense atmosphere around Thomas Shannon, William Guillen’s corner was quite harmonious.
He always had a way with won. With his looks and family background, won flocked to him even if he didn’t make a move.

"Haven’t looked into it." Thomas Shannon opened his eyes and gestured for Charlie River to light him a cigarette.
Charlie River handed him a cigarette and, bringing the lighter close, lit it for him.
His slender fingers holding the cigarette, Thomas Shannon took a deep drag, slowly exhaling a smoke ring. "I’m not interested in her background. Whoever she is, she has only one identity: my woman."
"Tsk, tsk. If Alia Shaw heard that, she’d be so angry she’d faint on the spot."
Thomas Shannon shot him a cold glance. William Guillen chuckled softly. "Don’t look at like that; I know that’s what you’re thinking. Didn’t you place Alia Shaw at the manor precisely to use the maniac to infuriate her?"
The grudge from being dumped two years ago could finally be settled.
"I’m not as shallow as you."
Young Master Guillen, whom Thomas Shannon deed shallow, wasn’t angered; he rely offered a aningful smile.
After the warm springs, they proceeded to the spa room for massages.

Charlie River answered. His expression turned grave. Covering the mouthpiece, he approached Thomas Shannon, leaned in, and whispered, "Young Master, the butler called. He said the maniac wants to go out."
