Sophie Sullivan was so tired. She raised her arm, circled his neck, and said, "Can you carry on your back? My legs are too weak..."
Thomas Shannon: "..."
Sophie Sullivan’s soft, delicate body was already pressed against his back.
She coquettishly rubbed against him. "Hurry up, I’m exhausted."
Thomas Shannon: "..."
Charlie River, standing to the side, stared in disbelief. It was the first ti he’d seen this. He had thought Young Master would refuse such an unreasonable request.
He never expected... His noble Young Master actually squatted down, and the maniac nimbly jumped onto his back. Where was there any sign of her being exhausted to death?
Charlie River saw clearly that she was brimming with energy! She could even ride Gabriel around for a few laps without any problem!
Leaning on Thomas Shannon’s back, Sophie Sullivan’s arms drooped from his shoulders, resting in front of his chest.
Thomas Shannon’s pace was very steady, each step regular. Sophie Sullivan didn’t feel any bumps. "Thomas Shannon," she asked, "why did you cover for Alia Shaw?"
"Can we not dwell on this issue?" The man’s deep voice already revealed a strong impatience.
"I almost died, how can I not dwell on it?"
Thomas Shannon’s eyes darkened. His cold voice reminded her, "Instead of dwelling on this, why don’t you think about what to do with your face."
"Oh, right!" Sophie Sullivan exclaid. He hadn’t ntioned it, and she hadn’t thought of it yet. Her previously limp arms suddenly tightened around his neck. "You said last ti that Charlie River was already looking for a doctor. How is it going?"
"No news yet."
"Thomas Shannon, you’d better not lie to again, or else..."
Sophie Sullivan scoffed twice.
"Or else what will you do?"
"Then I’ll take you down with ! I have nothing to lose. At worst, after eighteen years, I’ll be a beauty again. But you? In your next life, do you think you could be reincarnated so fortunately again?"
"Hah, beauty?"
Thomas Shannon’s mockery was blatant, with no attempt at concealnt.
Sophie Sullivan’s face turned a little red. After all, her current beauty was only that of half her face. The remaining half was too hideous to behold...
But what did it matter?
Her ruined looks would eventually be restored, and at that ti, she would still be a beauty!
Sophie Sullivan had relied on this conviction to keep herself going.
The two bickered all the way back to the castle.
Alia Shaw was sitting on the sofa. She had just finished setting up the tea service, ready to make tea herself. Hearing footsteps, she raised her head with a sweet smile. "Thomas..." Her voice suddenly stopped as Thomas Shannon ca in from outside with Sophie Sullivan on his back, the two looking extrely intimate.
They looked like a couple deeply in love, a sight that deeply provoked Alia Shaw.
Her smile froze on her lips, and it took her a good while to compose herself.
Sophie Sullivan rested her chin on Thomas Shannon’s shoulder and cast a cold glance at Alia Shaw. "Making tea?"
"Yes, for Thomas."
"He won’t drink it."
Alia Shaw found it laughable. On what grounds could Sophie Sullivan make decisions for Thomas Shannon?
"Why?" Although she found it laughable, she still asked softly.
A mocking smile touched Sophie Sullivan’s lips. "Because... he’s afraid it’s poisoned."
"Maniac, don’t you dare slander !"
"I was just kidding. Why are you so agitated? Could it be... you really did poison it?"
