Sophie Sullivan moved closer to her, making the contrast between them even more striking.
One was radiant and gorgeous, the other utterly wretched. Alia Shaw carried the lingering, musty odor of the dark cell, while Sophie Sullivan, in complete contrast, appeared relaxed and at ease, a subtle, almost imperceptible fragrance about her.
Sophie Sullivan hooked her lips into a smile. "Did you enjoy your ti in the dark cell?"
"Maniac, don’t push it too far!"
"I’ll give those words right back to you: don’t push it too far. We had no grudges or enmity to begin with; it was you who provoked first. What you’re going through now is nothing more than the retribution you deserve."
If Alia Shaw hadn’t attempted to kill her, the person Sophie would be dealing with now would have been Minimus Hart, not Alia Shaw.
Originally, Sophie could have just watched from the sidelines, but unfortunately, her comfortable daily life had been too uneventful; she wanted so excitent.
Since Alia had the nerve to act first, how could Sophie not be bold enough to retaliate?
If Alia didn’t learn her lesson, she might really think Sophie, having no one to rely on, could be easily bullied!
Alia Shaw glanced around, noticing a significant number of servants and maids. She squinted, staring at Sophie Sullivan. "Aren’t you afraid I’ll tell Thomas Shannon that you set up? Do you know what Thomas Shannon hates most?"
"Tell ." Sophie Sullivan feigned great interest.
Alia Shaw smirked viciously. "Thomas Shannon hates it when won play tricks and sches in front of him. What you’ve done, once discovered by Thomas Shannon, will make your end even worse than mine!"

Anyone who didn’t know the truth would really think her words represented Thomas Shannon’s genuine thoughts.
Sophie Sullivan delicately tapped her chin, hesitating. "Would you be very surprised if I told you that Thomas Shannon already knows I staged the whole thing myself?"
"What did you say?!"
Alia Shaw gazed at her in disbelief, stumbling back a couple of steps as if she had seen a ghost.
She didn’t believe it!
She didn’t believe that Thomas Shannon, knowing the maniac had sched to fra her, would still spare that maniac.
She couldn’t believe he would let her remain unhard, even allowing her to dress splendidly and accompany him to the banquet.
No, it couldn’t be true.
The maniac must be lying to deceive and provoke her!
Sophie Sullivan laughed softly, a gentle and non-threatening sound. "I said, Thomas Shannon already knows I was the one behind that affair. Otherwise, do you think he would have let you out just because he couldn’t bear to keep you locked up?"
Even at this point, Alia Shaw still held illusions about Thomas Shannon. How incredibly naive!
