Alia Shaw bit her lip, looking pitiful as if she had been severely bullied. Tears welled in her eyes, threatening to spill. "Those things from back then... they’re all in the past..."

After years of sowing his wild oats, William Guillen didn’t need to expend much ntal effort to see through Alia Shaw’s little tricks.
"Lan Singh, say a little less," Edward Benson said, his brows furrowed slightly. Why bicker with a woman? It was beneath him. Besides, Thomas Shannon, the one directly involved, hadn’t said a word. William was getting far too worked up.
William Guillen shook his head in disappointnt. "Bay King, you’ve really been fooled by her."
William Guillen couldn’t be bothered with Alia Shaw anymore. He thought of soone else, soone who could make Alia Shaw apprehensive.
"Thomas, why isn’t that maniac here?"
"She’s resting upstairs," Thomas Shannon replied coolly.
William Guillen loved a good show and didn’t mind stirring up trouble. He wanted to see the maniac take Alia Shaw down a peg. "What ti is it? Still sleeping? Call her down. It’s ti for afternoon tea."
Thomas Shannon gave him a aningful glance. Crossing his long legs, William Guillen leisurely urged, "Hurry up."
「In the bedroom」
Sophie Sullivan was sound asleep.
The maid shook her awake. "Maniac, the Young Master is calling you downstairs."
Sophie Sullivan brushed the maid’s hand away. "Stop bothering , I want to sleep."
"The Young Master is calling you downstairs. Stop sleeping, maniac."
The maid’s voice droned on incessantly in her ear. Sophie Sullivan, unable to bear it any longer, finally sat up.
Patting her groggy head, Sophie Sullivan threw off the silk quilt and got out of bed.
When she ca downstairs, she saw Edward Benson and William Guillen were both there. Thomas Shannon beckoned to her, and she walked over, naturally sitting down beside him.
