With an ambiguous, aningful laugh, Alia Shaw left.
The nurse looked at Sophie Sullivan with trepidation. "Maniac, are you all right?"
Sophie sneered. "Thomas Shannon said no one is allowed to disturb . How did Alia Shaw get in?"
"Miss Shaw... it was an accident. We didn’t know she would suddenly co looking for you."
"So? You think you’re innocent?"
Sophie’s gaze was icy; she showed no rcy for the nurse’s display of weakness.
They’d let Alia Shaw in. If she hadn’t been awake, if Alia Shaw had tried anything, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
Alia Shaw desperately wanted her dead. There was no telling what deranged act she might have committed against her in that vulnerable state.
Therefore, Sophie would not be soft-hearted.
Since they knew Thomas Shannon had given orders, they should understand that in this manor, there are rewards and punishnts.
If you make a mistake, you accept the punishnt.
No one gets to escape!
"Maniac, we’re sorry! Please, don’t tell the Young Master, we’ll..."
"Shut up!"
Sophie snapped, "The one you should be begging is Thomas Shannon, not ."
Ignoring the nurse’s desperate pleas, Sophie picked up the telephone on the bedside table and called Thomas Shannon.
Thomas Shannon, who was in a video conference, glanced at his vibrating mobile phone. He looked at the senior executives and said, "Take a 10-minute break."
He then ended the video call.
Picking up the mobile phone on the table, he answered, "Hello."
Sophie took a deep breath, a lingering fear still in her heart. "Thomas Shannon, Alia Shaw just burst into my room..."
With just that one sentence, Thomas Shannon understood what she ant.
His expression darkened. Thomas Shannon looked at Charlie River beside him. "Charlie."
"Young Master, I’m here."
"Send so n to the maniac’s room. Without my permission, no one is to disturb her."
"Yes, Young Master!"
Charlie River turned to leave.
"Wait."
Thomas Shannon’s voice was low, his eyes glinting fiercely. "Drag those derelict staff mbers from the dical office to the dark cell for punishnt."
"I understand, Young Master."
Sophie, on the phone, heard Thomas Shannon’s words clearly.
"Satisfied?" Thomas Shannon asked lightly from the other end of the line.
Sophie snorted. "I’m sowhat satisfied. If I hadn’t been awake this ti, who knows what dented things Alia Shaw might have done to ."
"Get so rest. I’ll co see you later."
After hanging up, Thomas Shannon pressed his brow with one hand. Alia Shaw...
He scoffed. Her ambition was now glaringly obvious.
Is she now so contemptuous that she won’t even bother to hide it within the manor?
The derelict nurses from the dical office were all dragged into the dark cell by n in black and severely punished.
Even Alia Shaw was not spared.
As her arms were hoisted and bound, and her body was brutally lashed by a man in black with a saltwater-soaked horsewhip, an insane jealousy for Sophie consud her.
Why?!
Why should *she* be the one to receive Thomas Shannon’s affection?
And she... she, whom Thomas Shannon had once desired but could not have, had to suffer such punishnt.
It’s unfair!
She was roaring with rage internally, but on the surface, she endured in silence.
The horsewhip lashed her body, splitting skin and tearing flesh. The saltwater on the whip intensified the searing pain of the wounds, making it an agonizing tornt.
In the dark cell, the nurses wailed endlessly.
Only Alia Shaw... she kept her jaw clenched tightly, not uttering a single sound.
All this pain, she would rember it.
And then, she would repay it twofold to that maniac.
