Upon leaving the private room, Thomas Shannon flicked off so cigarette ash. "Has George Field not arrived yet?"
Charlie River said, "It’s strange. Logically, George Field should have co to City T instantly to save his son, but there’s been no movent from him so far."
George Field’s illogical behavior was puzzling.
Just as they were about to leave Balcon Gate, Thomas Shannon’s mobile phone rang. He answered, and his expression subtly changed. Whatever was said on the other end, a cold smile touched Thomas Shannon’s handso face. Hanging up, he scoffed, "Turns out, the person Frank Mitchell conspired with is none other than George Field."
"Young Master, how about we use their own strategy against them?"
That design drawing was specially made to lure Alia Shaw. It contained an obvious flaw, difficult for ordinary people to discover, which would only beco apparent during actual use—and it was a fatal weakness.
Thomas Shannon nodded. "Since they dare to play, then let’s play along with them."
What he couldn’t figure out was that, aside from Alia Shaw, he and Frank Mitchell had no fundantal feud. Why would Frank Mitchell conspire with George Field to go against him? Was he tired of living?
Alia Shaw returned to her bedroom, took a bath, and changed into clean clothes.
Heaven knows how dirty she had made herself to act convincingly.
After tidying herself up, she took her mobile phone and called Frank Mitchell.
"I’ve arrived in City T and am now in Shannon’s villa."
Frank Mitchell knew that with her making a move, there wouldn’t be any problems. After all, she was the woman Thomas Shannon desired but couldn’t have; he would surely still show her so consideration. He laughed heartily. "Samuel, you really didn’t disappoint ."
Alia Shaw rely chuckled without a word. Thomas Shannon hadn’t disappointed her either. At the Imperial City Estate, after she had poured her heart out to him, all she had received in return was his coldness and ruthlessness. At that ti, Alia Shaw had thought she was finished, that there was no hope left. When she ca to City T, she still hadn’t been sure if she would et Thomas Shannon or if he would help her. It wasn’t until now that she got a satisfactory answer. Why wouldn’t Thomas Shannon care about her? Even if he said the most rciless things, he certainly wouldn’t stand idly by if sothing happened to her.
"Tell , what do you want to do next?"
Knowing what kind of person Frank Mitchell was, Alia Shaw had already given up on him. She was only interested in using her own thods to get rid of the maniac. Of course, before that, she still needed Frank Mitchell. Joining forces was always better than fighting alone.
"It’s simple, all you need to do is..."
Alia Shaw laughed, a fierce glint shining in the depths of her eyes. "Alright, wait for my good news."
She put down her mobile phone and couldn’t help but laugh softly.

Sophie Sullivan sat on the sofa and suddenly shivered. She rubbed her arm; the air conditioning was set just right. It wasn’t too cold, so why was she shivering? It must be because of Alia Shaw. It must be because Alia Shaw had co and was flitting about in front of her, making her feel uneasy all over. Sophie Sullivan reassured herself. Yes, that had to be it.
She poured herself a glass of water, drank half of it to calm her nerves, and then went upstairs.
