These words, Thomas Shannon couldn’t bear to say to Edward Benson, unwilling to shatter his last sliver of faith.
After a good while of silence, he finally said, "Good luck."
"Thank you."
After hanging up the phone, Thomas Shannon called William Guillen.
A woman with an unfamiliar voice answered the phone, "Young Master Shannon, hello, are you looking for Young Master Guillen?"
Her affected voice, as if pinching her throat to sound coquettish, made Thomas Shannon frown in disgust. "Let Lan Singh answer the phone!"
Scared by his icy tone, the woman imdiately said, "Young Master Guillen is taking a bath. I’ll call him for you right away."
The woman, not bothering to put on clothes, approached the bath chamber entrance naked. Holding the mobile phone, she said to William Guillen inside, "Young Master Guillen, Young Master Shannon wants to speak with you."
The sound of water inside the bath chamber stopped.
In a mont, the bath chamber door opened.
A water-droplet-covered arm extended out. "Give the phone."
The woman imdiately handed the mobile phone over with both hands.
William Guillen took the phone and closed the bath chamber door. "Thomas, do you need sothing?"
"Taking a bath at this ti?" Thomas Shannon joked. "Take it easy, be careful not to **********."
William Guillen chuckled, his laughter deep. "Instead of worrying about ******, it’s better to worry about yourself, whether you’ll be stifled with illness."
Young Master Shannon’s handso face darkened, and he said coldly, "Co out for a drink."
"Drinking at this ti?" William Guillen teased him in return. "Did that maniac anger you again?"
"Cut the crap. Are you drinking or not?"
William Guillen answered without hesitation, "Drinking, of course. You pick the place."
After hanging up the phone, William Guillen quickly finished his bath and left the bathroom.
The woman was still lying on the bed, completely naked. Seeing him co out of the bathroom, she sat up, her index finger in her mouth, biting it lightly. "Young Master Guillen..."
William Guillen sneered and said contemptuously, "Haven’t you left yet?"
"Young Master Guillen, I just wanted to accompany you more?"
William Guillen took the check he had already prepared from the bedside table and gently patted her face with it. "Are you complaining about the money being too little, hmm?"
The woman coquettishly retorted, "What are you talking about, Young Master Guillen? That’s not what I ant at all."
"Then get lost!"
He always liked obedient won; a swift, clean transaction was his style.
The woman hadn’t expected William Guillen to suddenly change his deanor. Beneath his gentle appearance was such a furious temper. She trembled all over, picked up the check, and hurriedly got out of bed.
"Yes, Young Master Guillen, I’ll leave imdiately."
She bent down, picked up the clothes scattered on the ground, and, too flustered to dress properly, frantically pulled them on while rushing out.
William Guillen changed his clothes and left the hotel.
「He went to the Golden Wing Palace.」
Upon arriving at the bar, he found the spacious establishnt was only servicing Thomas Shannon at this mont.
The Bar Manager personally greeted him. "Young Master Guillen, good afternoon. Please follow ."
The manager led William Guillen to the private room, where Thomas Shannon had already downed two drinks. Hearing the noise, he glanced over and said indifferently, "You’re here?"
William Guillen grinned maliciously and waved his hand, signaling the manager to leave first.
Once the manager had closed the door, William Guillen raised his hand, casually undid a few shirt buttons, and sat down beside Thomas Shannon. "Drinking alone like this? It seems the maniac really angered you this ti."
"Shut up. Drink."
"Drinking alone is so boring. Why not call so won over to liven things up?" William Guillen wondered if he had been starved by the maniac, drinking morosely with such a look of frustration.
