William Guillen returned to his bedroom, changed his clothes, washed up, and shaved before heading downstairs.
Downstairs, Alexander Guillen was already wide awake, sitting in the restaurant, drinking coffee and reading a magazine.
Hearing footsteps, she looked up and saw him, raising her eyebrows in surprise. "Why are you up so early? I thought you’d sleep in a bit longer."
William snorted and sat down beside her. "No need for your concern. And stop with those little tricks; they’re embarrassing."
"What little tricks?" Alexander Guillen feigned ignorance.
"Still pretending?" William put down his coffee, his cold gaze fixed on her. "Wasn’t it you who locked the bedroom door from the outside last night? Wasn’t it you who unplugged all the telephone lines?"
"Why are you so agitated? I was just trying to help you."
Alexander Guillen sighed, resting her chin on her hand. "Guillen Junior, seriously, where else could you find a girl as lovely as Fluffy? Thankfully, Fluffy doesn’t mind you carrying on like this. You should know when to stop and quit playing with her feelings, alright?"
"Ha ha, so in your eyes, if she loves , I must love her?"
"Your words..."
"I’m not eating!" William, overco with anger, rose and left the table.
Alexander Guillen stood up and called after him, "William Guillen, stop right there!"
William walked away quickly, without looking back.
"Young Lady, it seems the Young Master is genuinely angry," the servant beside her remarked.
Alexander Guillen raised her hand and rubbed her forehead, her headache intensifying. "I know he’s angry, but I’m more afraid he’ll miss out on Autumn Johnson..."

Fluffy Zane slept soundly until noon. She had only intended to take a brief nap but hadn’t expected to sleep so soundly. She’d slept until noon!

Downstairs, Mr. and Mrs. Guillen had already gone out, and Alexander Guillen had also gone for afternoon tea with a friend.
Seeing her rush downstairs, the servant stepped forward with a smile. "Miss Zane, lunch is ready. Would you like to eat now?"
"Yes." She nodded, looking around. "Where are Uncle Guillen and Auntie?"
"Mr. and Mrs. Guillen have gone to the company."
"And Sister Fiona?"
"The Young Lady is out with friends."
"Oh." Fluffy Zane felt sowhat disappointed. She entered the restaurant, quickly finished her lunch, and then left.
After much thought, she decided to return ho.
Staying in the Cooper family’s ho was always uncomfortable. Moreover, she was afraid that because of Mr. and Mrs. Guillen, William felt forced to be with her. To be honest, it was a terrible feeling. She saw the reluctance in his eyes. She didn’t want to force him. Happiness gained through coercion would never last. Just like her current situation... Her mood was down; there wasn’t a shred of joy.
She went upstairs, packed the dirty clothes she had taken off the night before, and ca back downstairs.
"Please, tell Uncle Guillen and Auntie that I’ve gone ho. I couldn’t say goodbye in person, so please pass on my apologies to them."
"Miss Zane, are you leaving?" The servant quickly stepped forward to stop her.
