"Fluffy!" Alexander Guillen cried, trying to go after her, but William Guillen gripped her wrist tightly.
He had a blank expression, slightly turning his head to look at Alexander. "Sister."
He called her "Sister" with extra emphasis.
Alexander looked at him as he uttered each word slowly, "Don’t get involved anymore. Fluffy and I are impossible. Don’t give her hope only to drive her to despair. The one who actually hurt her wasn’t ; it was you all, ddling blindly."
...
The Coopers Manor driver took Fluffy Zane back to the Zane Family residence.
Fluffy Zane picked up her car keys, entered the garage, and drove away in the Ferrari.
The Ferrari roared as it sped down the road, her gaze fixed intently on the path ahead, her heartache so intense it seed to have gone numb.
William Guillen.
William Guillen...
If she could, she would willingly give ten years of her life to completely erase William Guillen from her heart and mind.
She didn’t want love anymore...
Never again.
Love had only left her battered and bruised, her heart riddled with scars.
She had already been hurt to the extre...
She probably couldn’t bear any more blows.
The night is deep, and the roaring Ferrari gradually slowed down.
She drove to the city center and parked at the roadside.
She got out of the car to buy a bottle of water for herself. Just as she got back in, the passenger door was pulled open, and a figure swiftly slipped inside.
BANG!
The car door shut.
"You..." Fluffy Zane was astonished to see Sophie Sullivan, who shouldn’t have been there.
Sophie Sullivan slightly covered her face with one hand. "What, did I scare you?"
"Not really." Fluffy Zane furrowed her brows. "How co you’re here?" At this hour, all alone? Logically, Thomas Shannon shouldn’t have let her leave by herself, right?
"Never mind that, drive!" Sophie Sullivan pulled on her seatbelt and fastened it. "GO! GO! GO!"
Fluffy Zane didn’t even get to drink her water. Her foot pressed down on the accelerator, and the Ferrari shot out like an arrow released from its bow.
No one spoke in the car.
It was only after they left the city center that Fluffy Zane asked, "Where do you want to go?"
"What about you?" Sophie Sullivan retorted instead of answering. She had nowhere to go; any destination would just be aimless wandering.
"I can go anywhere."
"Is it convenient to take to your ho?"
Fluffy Zane’s lips curved into a smile. "No problem."
She made a U-turn and headed for the Zane Family residence.
Once back at the Zane residence, Sophie Sullivan unbuckled her seatbelt and exhaled a long, slow breath.
Fluffy Zane twisted open the bottle cap and handed the water to her. "Drink so water first."
"Thanks." Sophie Sullivan took the water and gulped down several mouthfuls.
She slowly tightened the bottle cap and turned to look at Fluffy Zane. "You’ve cried."
It was a declarative sentence, not a question.
Fluffy Zane’s eyes were still a little swollen, and her voice was slightly hoarse. She gave a bitter smile. "You noticed."
"Because of William Guillen?"
Fluffy Zane tacitly agreed.
Sophie Sullivan gripped the bottle of purified water in her hand tightly and scoffed, "n! Not a single one of them is any good!"
Hearing this, Fluffy Zane was surprised. "What? Isn’t Young Master Shannon treating you well?"
From what she rembered, Thomas Shannon was quite good to Sophie Sullivan, at least... not like William Guillen was to her.
Sophie Sullivan didn’t even want to ntion Thomas Shannon. She pushed open the car door. "Aren’t you going to invite in for a tour of your ho?"
After a look around the Cooper Family ho from outside, Sophie Sullivan followed Fluffy Zane inside.
When the servant saw Fluffy Zane bringing a guest ho, she whispered, "Miss, this guest is...?"
"This is my friend..." Fluffy Zane was about to introduce her by her last na but stopped herself in ti. "Is it alright if I ask for your last na?"
