She, however, felt an inexplicable sense of grievance.
The emotions that erupted in her chest were beyond her control. Her nose stung, and her vision instantly blurred with a layer of water mist.
Through the watery haze, she vaguely saw his furrowed brow.

The more she thought about it, the angrier Sophie Sullivan beca. She got up, hurried downstairs, and headed straight for the dical office.
"Old Mr. Standford?"
She stord into George Stanford’s office, only to find that he wasn’t there.
Sophie Sullivan stopped a nurse. "Where did Old Mr. Standford go?"
"Dr. Standford went out today."
"Out?" Sophie Sullivan was puzzled. Where else could Old Mr. Standford go?
"It seems he said he had an appointnt with soone. I’m not sure of the details. Maniac, are you looking for Dr. Standford for an urgent matter?"
Sophie Sullivan shook her head. "Nothing urgent. Never mind if he’s not here."
Sophie Sullivan thought it was just an isolated incident, but unexpectedly, she couldn’t find George Stanford for two consecutive days.
During her facial treatnt, George Stanford had always remained in the dical office.
It was impossible for him to be away for as long as two days.
An unsettling suspicion crept into her mind.
Could it be another one of Thomas Shannon’s sches?
She recalled how she had angered him. Convinced that Thomas Shannon was capable of such a thing, Sophie Sullivan didn’t hesitate to call and confront him.
The phone rang for a long ti without an answer. Sophie Sullivan refused to give up and kept calling.
She was determined to keep calling until he answered.
"Hello."
Finally, the call to Thomas Shannon’s mobile phone connected.
A woman’s voice reached her ears.
Sophie Sullivan pursed the corner of her mouth and remained silent.
Raina held the mobile phone, glanced at the caller ID showing Sophie’s na, and asked doubtfully, "Hello, are you looking for Young Master?"
"Put Thomas Shannon on the phone." Sophie Sullivan’s voice was cold, her patience rapidly wearing thin.
Maniac?
Raina smiled. "Young Master has gone to change his clothes; he’ll be back in a mont. Why don’t you call back later?"
After saying that, Raina hung up the phone.
She placed Thomas Shannon’s mobile phone on the tea table. An arm reached out from beside her, drawing her into an embrace and kissing her face. "Little Beauty, what took your young master so long?"
"Perhaps he was delayed by sothing." Raina forced a smile, her body stiffening in his arms.
The man’s stubbly beard scraped against her cheeks, causing her pain. Yet, she had to endure his kisses, heavy with the combined sll of alcohol and smoke.
"Continue, don’t stop."
The man raised his hand, signaling, and the music that had been interrupted when Raina answered the phone earlier resud.
Scantily clad won continued their provocative and seductive dances.
"Little Beauty, relax." The man’s hand shalessly snuck under her skirt as if no one else was present.
Raina felt so wronged that she nearly burst into tears.
