The maids pursed their lips and walked out.

With the hand holding the piece of glass, she stabbed hard.

"Say that again?" Sophie said, dragging the piece of glass further down Minimus’s skin.
Instantly, the wound on Minimus Hart’s face was slashed open another half-centiter.
Fresh blood stread down, a shocking crimson.
"Maniac, you... stop!" the maids cried out in horror.
Sophie sneered, narrowing her eyes. "Miss Jane Hart, it was you who instructed them to do this just now, wasn’t it? How do you feel now? Regret it?"

"I told you, I’m the type who can’t handle being startled. Why did you do it when you knew better?"

Seeing Minimus Hart run away, the maids glared at Sophie and turned to follow her.
Sophie tossed aside the piece of glass she was holding and clapped her hands. "Trying to play gas with ? I’m afraid you can’t afford the stakes."
She went to the room door and locked it.
Sophie went into the bath chamber to wash her hands, looking at her own face in the mirror.
Even if Thomas Shannon got rid of George Stanford, Minimus Hart is his most capable maid. If her face is ruined, he’ll have to bring George Stanford back, won’t he?
After washing her hands, Sophie returned to her room and lay down on the bed.
Though the movie was still exciting, she was no longer in the mood to watch it.
