Sophie Sullivan smiled, a dazzling curve to her lips. Her enchanting, srizing eyes shone with a light as brilliant as the galaxy. "Whether Thomas Shannon will believe or not, you already have the answer in your heart, don’t you?"
Charlie River had been by Thomas Shannon’s side for many years and was his right-hand man. He was certainly astute enough to guess Thomas Shannon’s thoughts, nor would he fail to see the affection Thomas Shannon held for her. It was precisely because he understood she mattered to Thomas Shannon that he hesitated. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have given her the opportunity to speak; he would have taken her away directly.
"Maniac, I advise you not to defy the Young Master. Otherwise, you’ll be the only one to suffer," Charlie River warned coldly. It wasn’t so much advice as a threat. Threats were what Sophie Sullivan feared least; indeed, she detested them most of all.

Sophie Sullivan had no patience to deal with him any longer and issued an ultimatum. "Ten, nine, eight, seven..."
When the countdown reached five, Charlie River uttered an almost inaudible scoff, then turned and left.
Only after Charlie River’s figure completely disappeared from sight did Sophie Sullivan toss aside the piece of glass in her hand. Cut her own face? Humph, she would never do sothing so stupid. Her face was too precious; she’d be heartbroken for days if even a fingernail scratched it, let alone slashing it.
Reaching the doorway, she was about to close the door when she noticed a key in the keyhole. She looked up at the nurse. "Who brought this key?"
"It... it was ."
Sophie Sullivan removed the key and smiled faintly. "If you do sothing like this again, I’ll be angry. Understand?"
The nurse, frightened by her chilling tone, nodded hurriedly, then turned and fled.
Sophie Sullivan chuckled softly, closed the door, and locked it. Her actions were swift and decisive.
Finally, the world was quiet. She could get so proper rest now.
「The castle.」
Thomas Shannon’s patience had reached its limit.
His cold eyes, sharp as a knife, fixed on Charlie River’s face. "What did you say?"
"Young Master, the maniac refused to co," Charlie River reported. "She said she’d rather slash her own face with glass than return." He also relayed what had happened to Minimus Hart.
Thomas Shannon’s eyebrows furrowed tightly, his handso face turning as cold as frost. A storm brewed in the depths of his deep, cold eyes, which turned frigid and gloomy. It was as oppressive and terrifying as an impending tempest.
"What else did she say?" Thomas Shannon took out a cigarette and placed it at the corner of his mouth.
Charlie River bent down, picked up the tal lighter from the tea table, and respectfully lit it for him. "The maniac said if I tried to bring her back by force, she would slash her own face and bla for it."
"So, you were afraid?" Thomas Shannon took a deep drag from his cigarette, his eyes dimming.
Charlie River imdiately shook his head. "Young Master, I wasn’t. My concern is about the treatnt if the maniac slashes her face. If she’s unhappy because of her face then, you’ll also be unhappy..." Ultimately, he knew the core issue always revolved around the Young Master.
Thomas Shannon sneered, his sexy, thin lips exhaling a puff of smoke. "You certainly have thought it through."
"It’s my duty, Young Master."
After a pause, Charlie River added carefully, "Young Master, I’m afraid the maniac is angry with you."
