Sophie Sullivan’s extre vulnerability softened Thomas Shannon’s heart to its core.
The frost in his cold eyes had long lted, replaced by a mild doting expression.
"Having nightmares again, are we?"
The head in his embrace gave two nods.
Thomas Shannon patted her back. The sleep gown on her back had long been soaked with cold sweat, and the texture felt terrible.
"You should change your gown and wipe your body clean."
Sophie Sullivan clung to him, refusing to move.

Thomas Shannon slowly lowered his raised hand, chuckled, and rested his chin on the top of her head, gently rubbing it twice. "Alright."

While hugging Thomas Shannon, Sophie Sullivan felt his body temperature. It spread through his clothes, transferring to her, and seeped into her skin.
Her cold body seed to be ward by him.
With her head against his firm chest, listening to his strong, powerful heartbeat sound, the fear in her heart was gradually fading away.
Sophie Sullivan involuntarily clung to him even tighter, grateful that when she woke up from the nightmare, there was a person beside her who could make her feel warm.
She was thankful that Thomas Shannon didn’t refuse her, nor did he ruthlessly push her away.
It seed that once Sophie Sullivan started hugging, she had no intention of letting go.
But Thomas Shannon’s eting was still ongoing. He lifted Sophie Sullivan’s head with one hand. "You little maniac," he said.
Sophie Sullivan’s eyes were bleary, her gaze wet as she looked at him.
Thomas Shannon’s thin lips tightened slightly. "I still have a eting to attend. You let go first."
"No." Sophie Sullivan buried her head again, refusing to let go no matter what.
So she wouldn’t let go?
Thomas Shannon scooped her up and got out of the bed.
Sophie Sullivan’s body was lifted into the air; she was so frightened she tightly wrapped her arms around his neck.
She lifted her head and bit Thomas Shannon’s chin. "Put down."
"Weren’t you the one who didn’t want to let go?"
"I’m willing now, just put down."
"Now, I don’t want to put you down. Let’s keep it this way."
Sophie Sullivan was absolutely certain Thomas Shannon was doing this on purpose!
Charlie River and the bodyguard were still outside. How could she show her face to them like this?
"Thomas Shannon, put down right now!"
"No."
"Are you going to put down or not?" Like an irritated little beast, Sophie Sullivan bit his chin.
Thomas Shannon grunted lowly. He chuckled in disbelief. "So you’ve started to take after Harry. Are you a cat as well?"
"I’m not a cat at all, I’m a tiger!" Sophie Sullivan sneered in disdain. How could she possibly be a cat? She was a ferocious tiger.
Thomas Shannon chuckled lightly, his laughter low and deep, particularly pleased. "Hmm, and a female one at that."
A tigress.
Sophie Sullivan repeated, A tigress... She felt sothing was strange about it, not quite right. But at the instance, she couldn’t, in the end, articulate what was wrong.
She frowned, perplexed, and muttered suspiciously, "Sothing feels off... Thomas Shannon, are you mocking ?"
"Why would I mock you? I am praising you."
"Is that how you praise people?"
