Silence.
Sophie Sullivan fell silent, hoping to dodge the issue this way.
However, Thomas Shannon had no intention of letting her off that easily. The corner of his mouth hooked into a wicked smile. "Maniac, you have five seconds to think. After five seconds, you’ll bear the consequences."
Either way, she was dood, so she might as well take the initiative and perhaps get lenient treatnt.
Sophie raised her arm. "Hold ."
Thomas Shannon didn’t move.
Sophie’s soft feet drew circles on his chest. "What are you waiting for? Aren’t you going to hold ?"
What a seductive enchantress!
Thomas Shannon released her feet, extended his long arm, and pulled her into his embrace.
"Stop sleeping. Go take a bath. After breakfast, we’ll head to the Sahara Desert."
Upon hearing the word "desert," Sophie felt a headache coming on. Why go to the desert of all places? Endless yellow sand, what’s so special about it?
Sophie was puzzled. "Thomas Shannon, isn’t there a better place to go? Why the desert?"
"I’ll take you crossing the desert," Young Master Shannon stated concisely.
Crossing the desert would be an unforgettable experience for her. He hoped that only he could give her such an experience.
"I don’t want to," Sophie refused without even thinking.
Thomas Shannon placed one hand on her chest. "You have to, even if you don’t want to."
"Didn’t you say you were taking out to relax? Since it’s for my relaxation, why can’t you listen to ?"
Thomas Shannon rely smiled without answering and carried the still-protesting Sophie into the bath chamber.
He personally bathed her, though she remained uncooperative.
After the bath, Sophie felt refreshed and invigorated.
Once she was dressed, the waiter had already delivered breakfast to the suite and set it on the dining table.
"Co sit down and have breakfast."
Thomas Shannon sat down first. He beckoned with his hand, a wicked smile touching his lips.
Sophie still wanted to protest, but her stomach growled loudly, so she resignedly walked to the dining table and sat down.
After breakfast, the group left the hotel, heading to the Sahara Desert.
「Country F.」
A ssage arrived for those sent by Lucifer to investigate.
On the walls of the corridor, laid with expensive carpet, hung priceless oil paintings. The displayed porcelain pieces were all valuable antiques.
The attendant’s anxious and hurried footsteps made no sound on the carpet.
Upon reaching the bedroom door, the attendant knocked.
"Master, there’s a ssage!"
"Co in."
A languid voice ca from inside the bedroom.
The attendant pushed open the bedroom door, revealing a spacious bedroom, dazzlingly opulent and magnificent.
The high ceiling featured a hand-painted oil mural by a master artist. Thick curtains blocked all light from the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Indoors, only the light from the downlights illuminated the mural.
"Master, we’ve obtained the ssage!" The attendant’s voice trembled with barely suppressed excitent.
Lucifer was right; the clues they initially received were wrong. Soone had deliberately spread false clues to mislead them, guiding their investigation to soone who was not Cecilia Branford at all.
This ti, they had increased their manpower and started investigating with Bali Island as the entry point.
They did not let any suspicious person off the hook.
