Sweat dripped down nonstop. Soon, her clothes were soaked with it.

Behind her, the man seed to sense her mood change and asked softly in her ear.
Sophie Sullivan’s mood had beco irritable with the seemingly endless journey ahead.
"Thomas Shannon, I’m curious, why did you choose to cross the desert?" How could soone like him, who lived a life of luxury and nobility, want to invite trouble by crossing the desert?
He didn’t seem like soone who had the leisure ti to embark on a great adventure, especially one that risked his life.
Thomas Shannon, holding her in his arms, heard her question, chuckled lightly, and didn’t seem to want to reveal the real reason he’d decided to cross the desert.

A muffled sound ca from her head. Annoyed, Sophie Sullivan elbowed him hard. "Bastard."
"Maniac, your guts are getting bigger and bigger, huh?"
Sophie Sullivan turned her head and smirked at him arrogantly. "At this ti, you should be asking who spoiled ."
Thomas Shannon pinched her chin, wiped the sweat from her face with his fingertips, his voice turning a bit husky. "So who spoiled you?"
Sophie Sullivan removed his hand, already prepared. "Of course, it was you who spoiled ."
Who else could it be? It was his choice to like her, even though he was too stubborn to admit it. Who cared anyway? As long as she knew it in her heart, that was enough. The favored one always has the confidence to act without fear, and she was currently adapting to that role.
Thomas Shannon chuckled lightly. Then, his laughter grew louder, his chest vibrating with the low, deep sound that resonated.
