Sophie Sullivan clenched her rosy fists angrily, pounding twice on his chest. "Thomas Shannon, this isn’t a leisure trip for , this is torture!"

"Is it because I usually annoy you that you’ve made a note of it in your little notebook, and now you’re punishing all at once?"
Thomas Shannon: "..."
A little notebook?
Punish her all at once?
Would he really go to the trouble of including himself just to punish her?
Such a losing trade. As a businessman, that was sothing he would never do.
Besides, he’d never even considered punishing her in this way.
"Maniac, can you stop being so childish?" Thomas Shannon glanced at her disdainfully before looking away.
Even through her sunglasses, Sophie could tell she was being looked down upon. After thinking carefully, she decided Thomas Shannon probably wouldn’t do such a thing. Writing it in a little notebook? That would be beneath Young Master Shannon’s dignity. He’d probably have Charlie River print it out!
After a mont of silence, Sophie started to feel uncomfortable again.
It was unbearable. "Thomas Shannon, I’m uncomfortable."
"Endure it."
"I can’t..."
Thomas Shannon’s brow furrowed slightly. "Don’t make a fuss."
They had only just set out, and she was already a constant source of issues.
"I’m not!" Sophie turned around, lowering her voice. "My legs are sore..."
"Spoiled."
Sophie went all out, grabbing his neck and whispering a quick sentence in his ear.
Then, she let go of him and waited for his reply.
Thomas Shannon was taken aback for a few seconds, then raised his hand. "Stop!"
Charlie River and the black-clothed man looked in their direction as the entire cal team halted.
Thomas Shannon gestured, and the Arabians had the cals kneel down.
Sophie instantly got off the cal, her feet stepping on the scorching hot desert sands. The heat penetrated the soles of her shoes and reached the arches of her feet.
She was miserable. Thomas Shannon dismounted as well. She instinctively ran to him. "What should I do? I’m uncomfortable..."
Thomas Shannon hadn’t expected her to injure *that* particular spot. Then, rembering her delicate body, he found it understandable that she would.
Although he had already instructed soone to soften the saddle considerably beforehand, he hadn’t expected she would still get chafed.
Thomas Shannon took her hand. "Can you walk by yourself?"
Walking would be much slower, but it was the only option left.
Sophie nodded, her expression troubled, and Thomas Shannon led her as they began to walk.
After walking for a while, Sophie was completely exhausted—tired, hot, and thirsty.
"I want to drink water."
Thomas Shannon handed her the kettle, and Sophie took it, gulping down the water eagerly.
They walked for an unknown length of ti, Sophie’s deep and shallow footsteps marking the sand dunes.
Soon, the wind and sand covered them.
"Thomas Shannon, carry ..." Sophie held onto Thomas Shannon’s arm and pleaded softly.
"There are cals to ride. Are you deliberately trying to make things difficult for ?" Thomas Shannon’s lips curved into a wry smile as he withdrew his arm from her grip.
"Nonsense, I’m not deliberately trying to make things difficult." Sophie chased after him. "It’s just... you’re more comfortable than a cal."
