The thought was terrifying; Sophie Sullivan dared not dwell on it further. The more she considered it, the more frightening Minimus Hart seed. Such power was truly terrifying. rely a slave leader, yet Minimus Hart could easily access her docunts—how could Sophie not be scared?
「Upstairs, inside the bedroom.」
The doctor had already completed Thomas Shannon’s physical examination; there were no issues.
"Young Master, your body is perfectly normal. There are no issues," the doctor reported.
Charlie River waved his hand. "That’s good. You may all leave first."
Thomas Shannon sat up and leisurely put on his shirt. He raised his cold eyes slightly. "Where’s that maniac?"
The maniac had only just left, and Young Master was already looking for her, Charlie River inwardly mused. Had sothing truly happened in the desert that allowed the maniac to get Young Master so completely under her thumb?
"Young Master, the maniac is downstairs. Do you need to ask her to co up?" Charlie River asked with utmost respect.
Thomas Shannon swept a cold glance at him. "Charlie River."
"Young Master, I’m here." Charlie River looked up, puzzled.
"What are you muttering about in your head?"
Charlie River was speechless. How did Young Master even notice that?!
"Speak!" Thomas Shannon ordered in a low growl.
Charlie River imdiately lowered his head, his voice softening. "Young Master, can I... not say it?"
"Fine. Jump off the balcony, and I’ll permit you to keep it bottled up."
Charlie River glanced at the balcony, ntally calculating its height from the ground, wondering if a fall from that distance would be fatal or leave him crippled.
After a mont, he had his answer.
"Young Master, I’ll speak."
Thomas Shannon’s slender fingertips elegantly and deftly fastened the buttons of his shirt. "Out with it."
Charlie River raised his eyes to glance at him, but upon eting Thomas Shannon’s cold gaze, he imdiately lowered his eyelids again. "Young Master, I suspect the maniac might have fed you a love potion."
"Why do you say that?"
"It’s been less than twenty minutes since the maniac left, and you’re already anxious to find her. If that’s not her having fed you a love potion, then what else could it be?" Charlie River felt his once arrogant and unrivaled Young Master had plumted from the cloudscape into the Mortal Realm, dragged down by none other than the maniac.
Thomas Shannon stood up, scoffed, and lashed out with a kick. "You think you can get a love potion? I’d rather feed one to that maniac!"
Charlie River, reeling from the kick, felt aggrieved. "Young Master, I was wrong."
"If you know you’re wrong, then scram!"
"Yes..." Charlie River scurried away dejectedly.
Just as Charlie River opened the bedroom door, he saw Minimus Hart standing in the doorway, her hand raised as if to knock.
"Charlie River, I’m looking for Young Master," Minimus Hart said with a slight smile.
Charlie River closed the door again. "Ask him yourself."
With those words, he quickly departed. Young Master’s kick really stung!
Minimus Hart raised her hand and knocked. "Young Master, it’s ."
A mont later, the bedroom door opened, revealing Thomas Shannon fastening his shirt cufflinks.
"What is it?" His handso face was stern, his gaze sweeping over her impatiently before he started to walk out.
Minimus Hart followed, respectfully reporting, "Young Master, this is the report on the slave girls’ activities upon completion of their missions. I have compiled a summary. Please review it."
"Set it aside for now."
A flicker of disappointnt crossed Minimus Hart’s eyes. "Yes, Young Master."
After a mont, she added, "Young Master, there’s one more thing... I’m not sure if I should ntion it."
Thomas Shannon paused, fastening his last cufflink. A faint smile touched his thin lips. "Since when did you beco so hesitant?"
