Gaby, once chubby and round from Cecilia Branford’s pampering, was now considerably thinner. It looked completely like a sick cat, entirely devoid of the King of the Forest’s majestic aura.
Lucifer stroked Gaby’s head, staying with it for a while before turning to leave. As he walked out, his expression gloomy, he ordered, "Prepare the car!"
"Yes, Master!"
Leo had already prepared the car. Seeing Lucifer stride over, he respectfully opened the car door. "Master, please."
As soon as he got into the car, Lucifer’s mobile phone rang. He glanced at the caller ID and impatiently hung up.
A mont later, the phone rang again.
A hint of helplessness touched Lucifer’s refined features. "Daddy, is sothing wrong?"
"Lucifer, what have you been hiding from Daddy lately?"
Lucifer laughed softly, one hand going to his forehead. "Daddy, what could I possibly hide from you?"
"Daddy has found out about a significant outflow of your funds. Tell , what are you planning to do?"
Lucifer was silent for a mont.
He cursed under his breath. "Daddy, I have sothing else to do. I’m hanging up now. I’ll co see you when I have ti."
With that, Lucifer imdiately hung up the phone.
Sitting in the passenger’s seat, Leo asked worriedly, "Master, hanging up on the Duke like that... will there be any problems?"
"Shut up." Lucifer glanced at Leo coolly. "I know my limits."
Toying with his mobile phone, Lucifer smiled and called the Duchess.
"My dear Lucifer, have you been missing Mommy?" The Duchess’s gentle voice ca through the phone.
"Mommy, are you busy?"
"If Lucifer needs Mommy, Mommy is never too busy."
Lucifer’s scarlet thin lips curved into a captivating smile. "Daddy seems to be in a bad mood today. Mommy, if you have ti, could you comfort him for ?"
The Duchess replied dotingly, "Alright, Mommy will listen to Lucifer."
"I love you, Mommy."
After hanging up, Lucifer breathed a sigh of relief. Leo, who had been worried, couldn’t help but admire Lucifer’s shrewdness.
Only the Duchess could manage His Highness the Duke.
To avoid attracting attention, Lucifer abandoned his private jet and took a comrcial flight to Country A.
