Sophie Sullivan didn’t grasp the concept of wealth, probably because since her accident, she’d had very little contact with money.
Inside Thomas Shannon’s manor, all her needs were t; the supplentary card he gave her had no limit.
She could buy anything she wanted.
Therefore, she didn’t have much understanding of, nor was she shocked by, the Onassis Family’s wealth. What mattered most to her was her own family.

"Lucifer, what about my parents?"
A flicker of pain crossed Lucifer’s eyes. He reached out and gently stroked her head. "Cecilia Branford, your Daddy and Mommy unfortunately died in a plane crash last year."

Sophie Sullivan’s breath hitched, and her heartbeat seed to stop for a few monts. Her father and mother... were they really no longer alive?
Seeing the sorrow welling in her eyes, Lucifer’s heart ached for her. The two people dearest and most important to her in life were no longer in this world.
Her world had collapsed.
A shroud of sorrow enveloped her.
Lucifer reached out and embraced her. "Cecilia Branford, it’s all in the past. You still have ."
The tip of Sophie’s nose stung. Although she had no mories of her parents, the news still pained her deeply.
Heartache...
It felt as if an invisible hand was squeezing her Heart, making it difficult to breathe.
The suffocating pain was almost unbearable, and she clenched her fists.
Her fingernails dug deep into her soft palms, yet she was unaware of the pain.
"Can you... tell about my parents?"
Lucifer affectionately stroked her head, his chin resting on her shoulder, his voice gentle. "Of course. Your Daddy was the heir to the Onassis Family, and your Mommy was from Country A. Your Daddy fell in love with your Mommy at first sight. He traveled all the way to Country A to propose to her. Your Mommy was moved by your Daddy’s sincerity, married him, and gave birth to you. You were their only daughter and the sole heir to the Onassis Family. They loved each other deeply throughout their lives. Your Daddy, sympathizing with your Mommy’s distress from being separated from her relatives and her deep longing for them, brought your maternal grandfather and grandmother to Country F. You learned your fluent Country A language from your maternal grandmother."
As Lucifer continued to speak, Sophie’s mind grew hazy.
Images began to form in her mind: a loving husband and wife, and their adorable little girl.
A family living happily together.
So... she no longer had parents.
Tears blurred her vision. Sophie choked out, "What about my maternal grandfather and grandmother?"
"They were quite old and passed away a few years ago."
This was the second piece of news Sophie had heard today that left her breathless with sorrow.
Tears burst from her eye sockets, wetting Lucifer’s bathrobe.
He looked up, carefully cupping her face, his brows furrowed with a pained expression. "Cecilia Branford, don’t be sad. They’ve rely gone to paradise. Don’t grieve for them."
Lucifer started to smile, his bewitching face filled with a roguish charm. "Because they’re watching Cecilia Branford from paradise, and they wouldn’t want to see Cecilia Branford’s beautiful eyes filled with tears."
Lucifer’s attempt at comfort only deepened Sophie’s sorrow.
She bit her lower lip hard, tears streaming uncontrollably.
