Charlie River spoke and turned to leave.
"Stop!"
"Young Master, do you have any other instructions?"
Thomas Shannon’s face was terrifyingly gloomy. "What were you just saying?"
Charlie River subconsciously recalled; he didn’t seem to have said anything problematic. Why did the Young Master... seem so angry?
"Young Master, I just said that if the maniac resists violently, we will take necessary asures..."
"What necessary asures?" The man’s voice was still gloomy, and his cold-pool-like eyes were even deeper.
Charlie River’s scalp tingled as if he realized sothing, and he imdiately fell silent. "No, Young Master. I said that if the maniac resists violently, we will use the gentlest asures to bring the maniac back safely."
As he spoke, he cautiously glanced at Thomas Shannon.
The man lit a cigarette and waved his hand. "Then why are you still here?"
"Yes, Young Master!"
Charlie River hastily left the study room, taking the man in black with him, and went straight to the dical office.
Sophie Sullivan had been staying in George Stanford’s room. After he had dinner, took a painkiller, and the pain was alleviated, he went to sleep.
Hearing footsteps coming from the corridor, Sophie glanced at George, who was sleeping soundly, and got up to leave the room.
As soon as she closed the door, Charlie River appeared in front of her.
"Maniac, Young Master is looking for you."
Sophie pursed her lips, leaving without a word.
Charlie River was surprised to see her so cooperative, but worried that she was playing tricks, he and the man in black imdiately followed her.
Sophie went straight back to the castle, and Charlie River imdiately said, "Young Master is in the study room."
He had expected her to go to the study room, but instead, she went back to her bedroom.
Charlie River was about to follow her, but with a BANG, the bedroom door slamd shut in front of him.
Charlie River: "..."
Sophie took a sleep gown from the wardrobe and went into the bath chamber to take a bath.
Charlie River touched his nose. That was close. Fortunately, he hadn’t followed too closely. He told the man in black behind him, "Keep watch here."
"Yes."
Charlie River entered the study room, where the sll of nicotine lingered.
In the smoky haze, the handso man sitting behind the desk looked almost ethereal, his features appearing dreamlike.
"Where is she?"
"Young Master, the maniac has returned to her bedroom."
Back to her bedroom?
Thomas Shannon’s eyebrows rose, and he took a deep drag from his cigarette. "Did she resist?"
"The maniac was very cooperative. I told her you were looking for her, and she ca back by herself..." Charlie River told the truth.
"She didn’t say anything?"
Astonishnt flickered in the depths of Thomas Shannon’s eyes. Was she such an easily submissive person?
Clearly, she wasn’t.
Charlie River nodded. "Yes, the maniac didn’t say anything and ca back by herself."
Thomas Shannon waved his hand. "You can go now."
"Yes, Young Master. If you need , just call."
Charlie River left the study room and closed the door.
Thomas Shannon raised his hand and touched his head. She really knew how to land a blow!
The faint pain in his head reminded him of how heartless and cold-blooded she was.
Exhaling a long smoke ring, he stubbed out the cigarette butt in his hand, got up, and left the study room.
Sophie had finished her bath. Just as she was leaving the bath chamber, she heard the bedroom door open.
Without looking, she went back to the bed, lay down, and closed her eyes.
Thomas Shannon stood at the doorway, watching her every move. As she lay down and completely ignored him, he couldn’t stand it any longer.
A shadow lood over her, and in the next second, Sophie was dragged off the bed by him.
