The servant wanted to say sothing more, but Raina Bell was already helping Thomas Shannon upstairs.
Despite stumbling along the way, she refused any help.
Thomas Shannon was tall, and his entire weight pressed down on her. Raina’s smaller fra was almost bent in half beneath him.
When Sophie Sullivan walked out of the restaurant, she saw this scene, and her lips curved into a smirk.
These two... Such an eyesore!
"Maniac, the Young Master is drunk..." a servant told her from the side.
Sophie nodded, indicating she understood. After a mont’s thought, she also followed them upstairs.
Raina helped Thomas Shannon into a guest room. Once inside, she imdiately closed the door.
Her slippers made no sound on the corridor carpet.
Sophie stood at the guest room door. Although she felt disdain, she pressed her ear against the door panel to listen.
"Young Master, you should lie down first."
"...It’s , Young Master."
Sophie couldn’t hear Raina’s voice clearly, but even without looking, she knew Raina wouldn’t let this opportunity slip by easily.
Sophie initially wanted to ignore it and go back to her bedroom to sleep.
She wanted to let Thomas Shannon see how the female slave he’d raised would ultimately sche to climb into his bed.
But on second thought, that wasn’t right! No matter what, Thomas Shannon was her man. If her man was touched by soone else, how could she use him later? With that thought, Sophie beca determined. Raina had better not touch her man!
Sophie hesitated, wondering if she should kick the door open imdiately and drive Raina away.
Then she heard footsteps from inside. Sophie instinctively retreated a few steps and slipped into the bedroom opposite.
Raina carefully opened the door and then gently closed it again.
She appeared nervous and extrely cautious.
After looking around and making sure no one was there, Raina headed downstairs.
Her steps were hurried, as if she were pressed for ti.
When Raina’s figure disappeared around the staircase corner, Sophie imdiately slipped out of the other room and pushed open the guest room door where Thomas Shannon lay.
On the bed, Thomas Shannon’s shirt was wide open, revealing his well-defined chest.
The air was filled with a strong scent of alcohol.
And he was completely out, dead drunk.
Sophie ca to the bedside, looking down at Thomas Shannon. Then, she just chuckled and said, "Serves you right!"
Getting this drunk, isn’t that just giving others an opportunity?
No wonder Raina wanted to make a move on him. With such a rare chance, anyone with a bit of ambition wouldn’t let it pass, let alone Raina!
All was deadly silent. Then, the faint sound of high heels on the corridor carpet beca audible.
Realizing it might be Raina returning, Sophie turned her head and glanced at the wardrobe behind her. That’s the one!
She quickly opened the wardrobe and slipped inside.
Just as she closed the wardrobe door, the guest room door opened. She’d missed being discovered by less than a tenth of a second.
Sophie quietly exhaled. That was close. I was almost discovered.
She secretly opened a small gap, enough to see outside. The wardrobe directly faced the bed, allowing her to see Thomas Shannon and have a clear view of everything Raina did.
I’ll see what Raina is planning to do.
Raina entered holding a bowl of hangover soup. She placed it on the tea table, then fetched a cup of water and gracefully sat down by the bedside.
She struggled to prop Thomas Shannon up, supporting him in her embrace. Lowering her head, the corners of her mouth curled into a tender smile. "Young Master, drink so water."
Pressing the water cup to Thomas Shannon’s thin lips, Raina tried to feed him.
Thomas Shannon didn’t move, let alone drink the water himself.
