Sophie Sullivan lowered her eyelids. Perhaps she was overthinking things. "Okay, when Lucifer wakes up, have him call ."
"Yes, Miss Cecilia Branford."
After hanging up the phone, Leo looked at Lucifer, who was buttoning the last button on his shirt. "Your Highness, Miss Cecilia Branford didn’t suspect anything."
Lucifer’s refined features were tinged with a sickly pallor. He nodded, his thin, scarlet lips pressed into a line. He said nothing more and turned to leave.
"Let’s go."
"Yes, Your Highness!"
Derek Clark remained in the Imperial City with a group of guards, ready to serve Miss Cecilia Branford at any ti.

As soon as Thomas Shannon stepped into the main hall, he saw Sophie Sullivan staring off into space, lost in thought. She didn’t even notice his entrance.
"What are you thinking about?" Thomas Shannon stood in front of her and, with his index finger bent, tapped lightly on her head.
THUMP.
Sophie Sullivan subconsciously covered her head and jerked her head up. "Thomas Shannon!"
"What were you so engrossed in?" Thomas Shannon’s expression was stern, his thin lips tightly pursed, hinting at his displeasure.
"Nothing." Sophie Sullivan stood up. Her captivating eyes narrowed slightly as she rubbed her chin with one hand and scrutinized him. "As for you, where have you been for so long?"
She had already visited the dical office, bickered with Old Mr. Standford for quite a while, and had been back, sitting for a bit. He was gone for so long. Had he really gone soft on Raina Bell?
"Long?" Thomas Shannon skirted around her, sat down on the sofa, and casually pulled Harry, who was lazily licking its fur, into his embrace.
"You were gone for an hour. What did you say to Raina Bell during that ti? And how did you punish her?"
Sophie Sullivan stood in front of Thomas Shannon. He sat while she stood, giving her an air of dominance as she looked down on him.
"How do you think I punished her?" Thomas Shannon asked indifferently, seeming to not take her words seriously.
Hearing his tone, Sophie Sullivan had a pretty good idea of what had happened. She sneered. "If I’m not mistaken, you didn’t punish her at all, did you?"
"How do you want to punish her?"
Thomas Shannon lifted his gaze, his cold eyes staring at her unblinkingly.
His profound gaze seed to pierce deep into her eyes. Sophie Sullivan took a deep breath. "I want her dead."
"Sophie, your ruthlessness surprises a little."
Ruthless? , ruthless?
Sophie Sullivan nodded, then laughed. "Yes, I am ruthless. Last night, when Raina Bell tried to kill to silence , you were still in bed, dead drunk. If I hadn’t been quick-witted, Sophie Sullivan wouldn’t exist in this world today—only Sophie Sullivan’s corpse!"
After saying her piece, Sophie Sullivan turned to leave.
Raina Bell wanted to kill her?
Thomas Shannon tossed Harry aside, stood up, and darted forward, grabbing her wrist. "Is what you just said true?"
"Everything I said is false! Only what Raina Bell says is true! Are you satisfied now, Thomas Shannon?" Sophie Sullivan forcibly shook off his hand. A suffocating frustration built in her chest, with no release.
Sophie Sullivan felt awful. The worse she felt, the more she resented Thomas Shannon.
She struggled for a long ti but couldn’t break free from his grip. Sophie Sullivan, pushed to her limit, finally erupted. "Thomas Shannon, you bastard!"
Sophie Sullivan’s hand, which had been hanging at her side, suddenly shot up—
SLAP!
Ti seed to stop.
Even the air seed to freeze in that mont.
The maidservants and maids in the main hall stared in shock at the scene before them.
