"She doesn’t want to fix her face anymore?"
The nurse shook her head innocently. "Dr. Standford, I don’t know what the maniac is thinking, but she really has run away."
George Stanford was dazed for a long ti, then let out a long sigh. "Ah..."
The nurse imdiately changed the topic. "Dr. Standford, you should eat first; the dishes will get cold soon."
In the backyard, Minimus Hart was resting in her bedroom.
A maid suddenly knocked on the door. "Sister Minnie, may I co in?"
Minimus didn’t even open her eyes. "Co in."
The maid sneaked in, closing the door behind her. She ran to the bedside and said flatteringly to Minimus, "Sister Minnie, I have so good news."
"What good news?" Minimus asked casually.
"The Young Master has gone to see Madam; he won’t be back for a while."
Minimus scoffed. "I already knew that."
"Sister Minnie, your chance has co..."
Minimus slowly opened her eyes, her gaze cold. "What opportunity?"
"The maniac is gone, the Young Master is gone, and Dr. Standford in the dical office... couldn’t he be gone too?" The maid winked, a strange smile on her face.
It was a wake-up call.
Minimus sat up abruptly. She stared at the maid for a few seconds before laughing. "You’re right."
Regardless of whether Sophie Sullivan returned or not, she couldn’t let her have the chance to restore her appearance.
Restoring her appearance had always been Sophie’s wish.
Sophie was so eager to restore her appearance; Minimus simply wouldn’t allow it!
Let her keep that ugly face and see how long she could remain arrogant!
Of course, if Sophie knew what was good for her, she wouldn’t return in this lifeti; otherwise, Minimus definitely wouldn’t let her off.
「The next day.」
Knowing that Sophie Sullivan had already run away, George Stanford was depressed. The only person who could argue with him had also left. Life felt truly dull and tasteless.
He sighed gloomily, and his mobile phone rang. It was a call from a forr colleague at the hospital.
"Dr. Standford, I found one of your surgical casebooks..." the nurse’s excited voice ca through the phone.
George Stanford was stunned. His patient dical records were still there?
Could they have survived the fire?
George Stanford asked excitedly, "Are you sure it’s my patient dical records?"
"Yes. Dr. Standford, do you want to co and get them?"
"Yes, yes, yes! Of course!" George Stanford exclaid. I must get my precious dical records back.
But in his current condition, let alone going out, even getting out of bed would be difficult...
"In that case, I’ll send soone to pick them up for ."
"Dr. Standford, I think you should co in person. This is very important, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable entrusting it to anyone else. I’ll only be at ease if I hand it to you personally."
That made sense...
George Stanford nodded. "Alright, I’ll co over to pick them up myself."
After hanging up the phone, George Stanford excitedly called the nurse to help him get ready to go out.
"Dr. Standford, the doctor said that in your current condition, you’re not allowed to get out of bed yet." The nurse looked troubled. He was being too reckless! The doctor hadn’t even allowed him to get out of bed, yet he wanted to go out already. He really wasn’t taking his own health seriously at all.
George Stanford insisted on going out. To him, his patients’ dical records were his treasure, a testant to the honor of his professional career.
He absolutely had to retrieve those records of honor himself.
The nurse couldn’t argue with him any further. Finally, she brought a wheelchair, helped him into it, and they left the dical office.
The nurse and a driver took George Stanford to the designated location.
