Sophie was awakened by an annoying owing sound.

Groggily opening her eyes, she saw Harry’s large, round cat eyes.

Her head shot back, and Sophie patted her chest to calm her racing heart.

"Harry, how did you get in?"

Harry innocently shook his tail, his small claws scratching at the silk quilt twice.

She sat up and looked around, but didn’t see Thomas Shannon. She picked Harry up by the scruff of his neck, threw back the silk quilt, and got out of bed.

The bath chamber was empty, and so was the balcony.

Thinking about this possibility, Sophie felt a faint thrill of excitent.

Putting Harry down, she quickly changed her clothes, washed up, and hurried out of the bedroom.

As she ca downstairs, she saw the butler directing the servants in their cleaning. Sophie thought for a mont, then proactively picked up a rag and began to wipe the tea table.

The butler glanced at her but said nothing, tacitly approving her action.

After dawdling over the tea table for a while, Sophie stood up and slipped into the kitchen.

"We don’t need you here. Go out."

She had just stepped into the kitchen, ready to help, when the Chief Chef dismissed her with a single sentence.

Sophie wrung the rag. "I’m here to help."

"Not needed."

Sophie casually lied, "The Young Master asked to help."
