What a control freak! She was a person, not his pet, and certainly not one of those slaves! She had the right to make friends. Besides, her friendship with Lucifer, spanning over twenty years, was sothing he could never compare to. To concede the point, even if he liked her now, and that was why they were bound together... if one day that liking faded, if the affection wore out, they would inevitably part ways. Only friendship, a friendship nurtured since childhood for over twenty years, would not change. Lucifer was both a brother and a friend to her; she couldn’t stay away from him! Lucifer had never hurt her. But Thomas Shannon, who professed to like her, was nothing but a moody, unpredictable tyrant! She could never predict when he’d get angry, or what hurtful things he might do to her when he was. From Thomas Shannon, she had never felt a sense of security.
Thomas Shannon’s cold eyes stared at her, a heavy, chilling gaze, fixed on her with a viciousness that suggested he wanted to slice her into a thousand pieces. Sophie Sullivan pursed her lips, her delicate chin tilting up slightly as she t his gaze arrogantly.
A sudden pain shot through her chin. Thomas Shannon gripped it tightly, his hold so strong it felt like he would crush the bone. "You are my woman. Have you got that?"
"And because I’m your woman, I have to be obedient?" Sophie Sullivan sneered. "Thomas Shannon, you are my man. You should be the one listening to ."
"Sharp-tongued." Thomas Shannon’s eyes darkened. He released her and turned to leave.
The pain in her chin vanished abruptly.
Sophie Sullivan rubbed her chin with one hand. "Bastard!"
Thomas Shannon held Sophie Sullivan’s mobile phone. He sneered, then imdiately turned it off.
Lucifer, if you want to contact her, you’ll have to see if I allow it!
Charlie River watched his Young Master storm downstairs, puzzled. Wasn’t he perfectly fine when he went upstairs just now? Did that little maniac anger the Young Master again?
"Young Master, where are you going?" Seeing Thomas Shannon bypass the Restaurant and head outside, Charlie River quickly followed.
"To the company."
"Yes, I’ll have soone prepare the car imdiately." Charlie River spoke softly into his wireless earpiece, instructing a man in black to prepare the car.
anwhile, Sophie Sullivan also chased after them. She ran quickly down the staircase and, from a distance, saw Thomas Shannon’s retreating figure heading outside. She was seething. "Thomas Shannon, you stop right there!"
The man paid her no heed. The servants and maids in the main hall watched the scene, all holding their tongues.
"Bastard!" Sophie Sullivan quickened her pace, letting go of the stair handrails as she pursued him.
He can go if he wants, but he absolutely must leave her phone!
Charlie River whispered from the side, "Young Master, the maniac is calling you."
"Shut up!" Thomas Shannon growled, his eyes flashing with a sinister light. "Is this any of your business?"
"My apologies, Young Master. I overstepped." Charlie River imdiately opened the car door. "Young Master, please."
Thomas Shannon bent down and got into the car. Just as Sophie Sullivan caught up, the fleet of cars began to pull away slowly.
She banged repeatedly on the car window. "Thomas Shannon, give back my phone!"
The man’s profile was stern; he didn’t spare her even a peripheral glance. He ordered coldly, "Accelerate."
"Yes, Young Master."
The man in black slamd his foot on the accelerator, and the fleet sped away in an instant.
Sophie Sullivan gradually slowed to a stop. Watching the vehicles disappear rapidly in a cloud of dust, she stomped her foot in fury. "Thomas Shannon, if you have any guts, don’t you dare co back!"

Sophie Sullivan panted, then turned to walk back to the castle. As she did, she saw Harry rushing wildly down the stairs towards her.
