The doctor finished speaking and smiled obsequiously, "Young Master, do you think this will do?"
Thomas Shannon didn’t really care as long as Sophie Sullivan believed it.
"You handle it yourself, but if the maniac gets suspicious, I’ll chop you up and feed you to Gabriel!"
The doctor shivered in response, on the verge of tears, "Young Master, Gabriel doesn’t eat at!"
Please don’t chop up, okay?
Having issued his threat, Thomas Shannon left, carrying Harry.
Sophie Sullivan and George Stanford discussed the third surgery for over half an hour before she went next door to find Angus.
Angus hadn’t yet co up with a plan. He was in a video eting, studying it with his team.
Sophie saw that he was busy, so she gestured for him not to mind her and then exited the office.
"Gaby, let’s go back."
Sophie called the groggy Gaby, ready to leave the dical office.
A little nurse hurried over and stopped her, "Maniac."
"Is there sothing you need?" Sophie turned around to look at the nurse.
"The doctor is looking for you; he says he’s prepared so dicine to help condition your body."
Sophie was slightly puzzled. Was there sothing wrong with her body?
The nurse added, "It’s dicine for your nstrual pain."
So that’s what it was.
Sophie nodded and said cheerfully, "Let’s go."
The nurse led Sophie to the doctor’s office, where the doctor in a white lab coat greeted her with a kind smile, "Maniac, for your nstrual pain, I’ve prepared so dicine to help condition your body. After the injection, it should help you suffer less pain during your future nstrual periods."
Sophie sat down on the chair and saw the doctor take out a syringe, feeling a bit confused, "Isn’t it usually herbal soup for conditioning?"
"Herbal soup is indeed a thod, but it’s slow to take effect. You have to take painkillers every month, and in the long run, you might develop a dependency on them, leading to drug resistance. So, I plan to solve the problem at its root by improving your constitution, so you can have a painless period next ti."
Sophie was completely persuaded by the doctor; the pain during her nstrual period was sothing she didn’t want to endure anymore.
Hearing the doctor say that it could be solved at the root, she imdiately extended her hand, "Go ahead."
It was almost heroic, like going to a martyrdom.
The doctor smiled imperceptibly and injected the dicine into her.
Unlike regular dicine injections, this one really hurt!
Sophie’s brow furrowed, "Why does it hurt so much?"
"Does it?" The doctor feigned ignorance.
During the antidote injection process, the patient would feel obvious pain, and in the following days, their arm would be sore.
After a few days, it would recover on its own.
The doctor didn’t ntion this part for fear of making Sophie suspicious.
The Young Master had warned that if Sophie beca suspicious, he would be chopped up and fed to Gabriel.
Sophie pressed down on the injection site with sterile gauze and returned to the castle.
Thomas Shannon was sitting on the sofa, stroking Harry’s fur. When he saw Sophie return, he curled up the corner of his mouth, "Back already?"
His gaze casually fell on her arm.
It seed the doctor had already administered the antidote to her.
Good, he was very satisfied.
Sophie nodded listlessly and sat down beside him. The sterile gauze was already stained with blood, and small beads of blood were still oozing out from the injection site.
She puffed out her cheeks, threw away the cotton swab, and asked the servant to bring out the dical box.
The servant opened the dical box, and as Sophie reached for a cotton swab, Thomas Shannon took it from her and pressed it onto the injection site.
