Teasing Harry in his embrace, William Guillen stood up and left.
「Inside the bedroom.」
The sedative in Sophie Sullivan’s body had taken effect, and she was still asleep.
Thomas Shannon walked over and glanced at her. There were no external injuries on her body; it was just that her mind wasn’t quite right.
His thin lips pursed slightly, Thomas Shannon got up and left the bedroom.
It was hard to tell how long had passed when Sophie Sullivan finally regained consciousness in a daze.
With confusion in her eyes, she looked at her surroundings—Thomas Shannon’s bedroom...
She slowly sat up. Her head ached a bit, and she raised her hand, involuntarily tapping it.
What on earth had happened to her? Why did her head hurt?
Sophie Sullivan lifted the silk quilt, got out of bed, and entered the bath chamber. She was shocked! What was this blood at the corner of her lips?
Lowering her head, she quickly examined her body but found no injuries.
Whose blood was this then?
Filled with doubt, Sophie Sullivan left the bedroom. Outside in the corridor, she found a man in black and a servant. She questioned the servant, who told her that she had gone mad and bitten Thomas Shannon.
Disbelieving, she furrowed her brows. How could she have gone mad?
She knew better than anyone that she hadn’t gone mad. The reason she was locked up in the asylum was because soone had deliberately injected her with sedatives to keep her confined.
But that didn’t an she was a madwoman!
After descending the stairs, she didn’t find Thomas Shannon. She asked a servant and learned that he was at the swimming pool.
Under the scorching sun, the man swam gracefully and powerfully in the pool, like a white shark in the sea.
Agile and elegant, he alone created a breathtakingly beautiful scene.
Ever since she learned that she had bitten Thomas Shannon, Sophie Sullivan had been wondering, How can I apologize to him without being punished?
Standing by the swimming pool, she stared blankly into space.
As a result, she didn’t even notice when a hand grabbed her ankle.
Her body was abruptly pulled by a strong force, causing her to lose balance and plunge into the swimming pool.
SPLASH!
A loud splash resounded, sending countless water droplets flying.
She had barely managed to surface when her head was once again pushed underwater.
The feeling of suffocation engulfed her, and Sophie Sullivan wrapped herself around Thomas Shannon like an octopus, clinging tightly.
Using all her strength, she tried to pull him underwater with her.
The two tangled together in the water. Thomas Shannon, still possessing so conscience, didn’t continue to hold her down.
Feeling the grip on her loosen considerably, Sophie Sullivan instantly thrashed her legs, kicking up splashes, and quickly surfaced, gasping for fresh oxygen.
Beside her, the man also calmly erged from the water, raising a hand to brush back his wet hair. "Who told you to co here?"
Sophie Sullivan eyed him sideways. "I heard I unintentionally bit you, so I ca to apologize."
"Apologize?"
Thomas Shannon looked as if he had heard the world’s biggest joke and chuckled. "Do you think your apology can save you from punishnt?"
"Can’t it?"
Sophie Sullivan thought for a mont, then decided she still had to explain herself. "Young Master, I was unconscious at the ti. I truly didn’t intend to hurt you. This was a complete misunderstanding, an accident."
She swam over and tried to hold his arm.
"Get lost."
"I won’t!" Sophie Sullivan smiled. "Not unless you say you forgive and won’t punish ."
"You’re afraid of punishnt?" Thomas Shannon’s cold eyes lowered slightly. He had thought she was fearless!
Sophie Sullivan blinked. "No one would be foolish enough to make things difficult for themselves, right?"
Especially if there was a chance to avoid punishnt...
