One hour later.
Presidential Mansion, inside Lillian Spencer’s study room.
She was sitting on the sofa, on the tea table was the tea she had just brewed, steam rising, the room filled with the aroma of tea.
A guard knocked on the door, reported, received permission, and then allowed Linda to enter.
Linda stepped into the study room, seeing the faint hint of a smile at the corner of Lillian Spencer’s mouth, her heart sank. She quickly ca to stand before her, lowering her head, "Miss, I failed the mission, requesting punishnt!"
"Linda, sit down."
Unexpectedly, Lillian Spencer was not angry, but gently told her to sit.
Linda did not dare move, standing in place, "I dare not."
"Sit." Lillian Spencer’s voice carried a natural authority.
Linda no longer hesitated, sitting down on the sofa.
A cup of tea was moved to the tea table before her, "Try the tea I’ve brewed."
Linda, flattered, picked up the tea and took a sip, "Good tea."
She couldn’t really taste anything at the mont, instinctively giving a complint.
Lillian Spencer smiled, her laughter light, as she held the tea, gently sniffed the aroma, then elegantly took a sip, savoring it.
After finishing the cup, she casually asked, "Why did the mission fail?"
"I didn’t expect Thomas Shannon’s car to have bulletproof glass, I underestimated it."
"It’s not that you underestimated, but you are not a match for Thomas Shannon at all."
Lillian Spencer stood up, moved to the front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, standing with hands behind her back, "But you don’t need to be nervous, this mission was only to test your courage, I didn’t have high expectations for you."
Linda stood up, ca to stand behind her, "Miss is not angry?"
"As long as you complete the next mission I give you well, you can make ands."
"Please give your orders, Miss!" Linda let out a slight sigh of relief inside.
No matter what the mission, she was willing to do it!
Making ands...was her only chance.
Only by completing the task Lillian Spencer assigned well could she gain her support for revenge.
Lillian Spencer turned around, a hidden sharpness in her gaze, "I want you to return to Edward Benson’s side, use him to get close to Thomas Shannon, and continue the assassination mission."
Edward Benson?
Thinking of Edward Benson, Linda couldn’t quite describe her feelings, resistance.
She didn’t like having too much interaction with that man, and resisted being with him, but these could all be ignored in the face of the mission.
Linda nodded, indicating understanding, "Yes, Miss! This ti, I will definitely complete the mission perfectly!"
"I’ll be waiting for your good news."

Edward Benson returned to the villa, seeing the empty villa, his heart felt empty as well.

In the end, as dear as a brother, Edward Benson naturally trusted Thomas Shannon’s character, knowing he searched the ocean for Isla Stanley, knowing Linda had a face identical to Isla Stanley’s, he wouldn’t intentionally hide her.
Nor would he go to great lengths to hide Isla Stanley.
The reason he did this must have his reasons and motives.
