She called Leo’s phone, but it was also turned off.

"Is that so?" Sophie was half-believing, half-doubting.
Is the royal banquet so high-grade that even phones aren’t allowed to be on?

Derek deceived as best as he could, anyhow Miss Cecilia Branford lost her mory and wouldn’t inquire whether phones are allowed during the banquet.
Even if she eventually learns the truth and knows he was deceiving her, by that ti His Highness Lucifer would help explain away his actions.
Overall, what he needed to do now was to appease Miss Cecilia Branford, and as for any issues later, they could be dealt with afterward.
Since it was Derek saying it, Sophie naturally believed it.

After hanging up the phone, Sophie raised her hand, wiped the cold sweat from her forehead, and lifted her eyelids, seeing Thomas Shannon staring at her intently.
Sophie pulled her neck back and said, "Thomas Shannon, why are you staring at like that?"
Thomas Shannon snorted and said sourly, "When will you care about like you care about Lucifer?"
Just because of a bad dream, she couldn’t reach Lucifer, and she got so anxious she was dripping with cold sweat, absent-minded.
If only she could care about him as much as Lucifer, he wouldn’t get jealous over so irrelevant man.
Sophie lightly coughed and mumbled softly, "I don’t know what you’re talking about. I feel sticky and uncomfortable. I need to take a bath."
As she said this, she lifted the silk quilt and was about to get out of bed.
Thomas Shannon grabbed her wrist again, "Sophie, answer my question."
