Sophie mindlessly nodded her head. She called out to Gaby, who imdiately rushed over and lay down by the bedside, howling softly at her.
Raising her hand, Sophie gently patted Gaby’s head, struggling to curl the corner of her mouth, "Gaby, I’m fine, don’t worry."
Gaby kept nuzzling her palm with its head.
"Gaby has been waiting for you, hasn’t eaten or drunk anything for a day," Thomas Shannon said from the side.
Sophie looked at Gaby in surprise and was heartbroken, "Gaby, you silly fool."
Gaby seed unaware that Sophie was scolding it and kept nuzzling her palm, being exceptionally affectionate.
After Sophie’s persuasion, Gaby finally agreed to eat the at, and Sophie was sent back into the operating room for surgery again.
"Young Master, would you like to take a break? I see the maniac’s surgery won’t be over for a while, so you should rest first and let keep watch," Charlie River advised worriedly, seeing Thomas Shannon’s tired expression.
Starting from this morning’s surgery until now, it’s been the whole day, and he hasn’t closed his eyes.

Thomas Shannon rubbed his forehead with one hand, lowered his eyelids, hiding his tiredness, "It’s just a minor surgery, it won’t take long."
Thus, he wanted to wait for Sophie to co out.
Seeing this, Charlie had no choice but to give up.
No one can persuade when Young Master Shannon sets his mind on sothing.
Over an hour later, the operating room door opened.
George Stanford quickly stepped forward, not waiting for Thomas Shannon to ask, he proactively said, "Young Master Shannon, rest assured, if Fiona has even the slightest hiccup this ti, I’ll let you handle it!"
"That’s good." Thomas Shannon nodded, and together with the nurse, pushed Sophie back into the room.
A sleepless night.
The next day, Sophie woke up.
Her brain was foggy, she looked at the bright ceiling, heard so noise, and turned her head to look.
Gaby was impatiently lying at the bedside, eager to jump onto the bed.
"Gaby." Sophie smiled, reached out her hand, and patted Gaby’s head.
On the sofa, the man with just a thin blanket covering him heard the sound and woke up.
His sowhat confused eyes looked at her before quickly getting up and walking towards her, "Awake?"
A deep, magnetic voice, slightly hoarse from just waking up.
Sophie nodded her head, her facial wound from the surgery ached a bit, but not as intensely as last night.
"Do you feel uncomfortable anywhere? How’s your face, does it hurt?"
Thomas Shannon held her hand, giving it a little squeeze.
"My face hurts a bit, do you have any painkillers?"
After giving her a deep look, Thomas Shannon let go of her hand, "Wait."
With that, he turned and left the room.
In a while, he ca back with dicine, but no water.
Sophie looked at him, then at the dicine in his hand. If it wasn’t for his exhausted face and bloodshot eyes - a sign of worrying about her all night and not sleeping well - she would be mad.
"Thomas Shannon, how am I supposed to take dicine without water?" Sophie pouted, stretching out her hand to grab his sleeve and give it a shake.
Casually placing the dicine on the bedside table, Thomas Shannon hooked over a chair with his long legs and sat by the bedside.
"You can’t take dicine on an empty stomach, wait a bit, breakfast is coming soon."
Alright, he’s right.
Sophie silently accepted his arrangent without any objection.
For a while, there was no conversation.
