"Your future mother-in-law’s." Thomas Shannon said, with a devilish smile, rubbing her head like petting a pet, "I’ll go upstairs to answer the phone."
With that said, he went upstairs with his phone.
Behind him, Sophie Sullivan was fuming, waving her arms, "What future mother-in-law, Thomas Shannon, you explain to clearly! Who’s going to marry you, so self-absorbed!"
Back in the study room, Thomas Shannon shut the door behind him.
He walked to the front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, and answered the phone, "Mother, how co you have ti to call ?"
"Lincoln, what’s the matter with you?" Mrs. Shannon’s voice was filled with deep concern.
Beside her ca the faint voice of Jas Shannon, ’I told you he’s fine, you didn’t believe . Those unscrupulous dia fabricating stories to grab headlines, what’s there to believe?’
Mrs. Shannon huffed, "Jas Shannon, either be quiet or get out for ."
Indeed, Jas Shannon’s voice imdiately disappeared on the other end.
Thomas Shannon chuckled, his cold face, due to this laugh, instantly lted like ice and snow, "Mrs. Shannon, are you bullying Mr. Shannon again?"
"He’s annoying, that’s why I bully him."
Mrs. Shannon sighed deeply, worriedly asking, "Lincoln, tell Mum, are you okay?"
"I’m fine, Mother, no need to worry."
"What’s with those news articles? Written so convincingly, I almost thought sothing really happened to you."
Thomas Shannon’s eye color darkened, "Those news dia are just trying to grab headlines, why should you take it seriously, Mother?"
