Ruan ngxi was soaking her feet and chatting with Tang Wan, just making small talk, until Tang Wan ntioned guests had arrived at her house, prompting her to get ready to hang up the phone.
"Your house is really lively." Ruan ngxi looked at the empty room, inevitably feeling a bit lonely.
"It seems my little aunt is here. If it weren’t for the snow making the roads bad, you could co over and play." Tang Wan was standing by the bed, catching a glimpse of Huo Qinqi accompanying Shen Shuci, "Why is my little uncle here too?"
"Master Huo? Didn’t he go back to work?"
Huo Qinqi left on the fifth day after the wedding, always being elusive, even Shen Shuci wasn’t aware of his whereabouts, let alone people like Tang Wan.
"No idea when he ca back."
"I’ll hang up then, we can chat later." Ruan ngxi said a couple more sentences to her before hanging up the phone.
After soaking her feet, Ruan ngxi stood up, stretched her neck and waist, just as the doorbell suddenly rang. Turning around to check, living alone, she instinctively looked through the peephole.
"Property managent, is anyone there?"
The man at the door was dressed in black, wearing glasses and a mask. However, not just anyone could enter this community; you needed a card to take the elevator up. She thought he probably wasn’t a stranger, mainly since he claid to be from the property managent, so Ruan ngxi didn’t think much and opened the door.
"Anything you need?"
"With the recent snow, so residents reported issues with heating, so I’m here to ask if your heating is okay." The man held sothing like a notebook.
"No issues."
"Sorry for the disturbance."
"No worries, thank you for your hard work." This little episode didn’t grab Ruan ngxi’s attention at all because shortly after, she received a call from Yun Hezhi, saying he was coming over with theater tickets, so naturally, Ruan ngxi invited him in for tea.
"Is Mr. Qi not around?" Yun Hezhi teased.
"He’s at work, gone to the company, would broken silver be okay? It’s the only tea I have."
"Why would you buy this kind of tea for the elderly?"
"This is what Old Master Jiang likes. I bought it to try the taste."
Yun Hezhi nodded, having only t Jiang Jinsang once. He didn’t expect soone so young to appreciate this kind of health tea.
He was rely there to deliver the theater tickets, and though Ruan ngxi wanted to keep him for dinner, he politely declined.
He was a perceptive person and could tell that both Ruan ngxi and Qi Zeyan had feelings for each other, but since their relationship wasn’t stable, even as friends, it was inappropriate to be too close due to the difference in gender.
Ruan ngxi saw Yun Hezhi off, put away the theater tickets, and unintentionally noticed the curtains hadn’t been drawn.
She lived in a high-rise, and the buildings in the community weren’t close. With the naked eye, she could only see the bright lights of the opposite side. Perhaps it was her intuition, but she suddenly felt as if soone was watching her from across the way.
With that thought, she pulled the curtains closed.

At this ti, in the Jiang Mansion
After hanging up the phone, soone soon knocked on the bedroom door, and Jiang Jinsang led Huo Qinqi and Shen Shuci inside.
"Little Aunt, Little Uncle." Tang Wan greeted them smoothly, having long adapted to calling Huo Qinqi by his new title, though Jiang Jinsang stubbornly refused to change.
"I ca to see the child." Shen Shuci said, walking over to the little bed.
The little one had been asleep, but perhaps he heard the commotion, because when Shen Shuci approached, his eyes were already open, staring at her unblinkingly, "He seems to look different than before; his little face is so chubby."
"Kids look different every day." Tang Wan laughed.
"Qinqi, co over and take a look at the child." Shen Shuci called to the person standing still by the side.
Ever since Jiang Xiaowai peed on him, Huo Qinqi had kept his distance.
"Why are you just standing there? Co over." Shen Shuci, however, dragged him over to Jiang Xiaowai’s side, and the little guy seed to recognize Huo Qinqi, moving his little arms, "Look, he recognizes you."
Huo Qinqi remained silent...
And then saw the little one open and close his mouth.
"Look, he’s blowing bubbles." Shen Shuci, whose nature was usually very cold, seed to beco a bit softer since being pregnant, especially when speaking more gently now in front of the child.
"Blowing bubbles?"
Huo Qinqi raised an eyebrow, are you sure the little guy isn’t just spitting?
He seed to be having a lot of fun, spitting bubbles with enthusiasm, making Huo Qinqi frown, what’s this?
"Oh right, Little Aunt, I have so pregnancy and childcare handbooks I’ve been aning to give you but just keep forgetting..." Tang Wan said, leading Shen Shuci to another room, but after searching for a while, she forgot where she put them, and ended up calling Jiang Jinsang over.
