"Boom—" With a sound, her head suddenly exploded.

Qi Zeyan’s ssages "beep beep beep—" kept coming in, as if sothing was pounding on her head; Ruan ngxi’s brain was a bit oxygen-deficient at that mont.

Did he really see all that?

Her head started to throb faintly.

Qi Zeyan, seeing that she hadn’t replied for a long ti, decided to send her a video, which he imdiately hung up, then disappeared without a trace.

Having just been driven out by his future father-in-law, now Ruan ngxi ignored him too?

Qi Zeyan was still standing outside in the hallway, with the cold wind chilling him to the bone...

What was going on?

Was her computer confiscated as well?

Did the father-in-law really hate him that much?

Qi Zeyan crouched outside for a while, until receiving a call from ho. His grandfather had been waiting at ho all day, only kept inford through online updates, and wanted to ask him what was really happening.

He hesitated, placed the gift he brought at the door, knocked, and then left.

Ruan Daqiang was watching TV in the living room the whole ti, feeling quite frustrated. The comnts online were too harsh, especially those mocking and cursing Ruan ngxi. Even though he couldn’t see them now, it felt like a thorn in his heart.

It was indeed trouble caused by Qi Zeyan. If he were to bla him, this little jerk was a victim too, so scolding or beating him wouldn’t help.

Ruan Daqiang decided not to see him.

Hearing the knocking, he squinted and saw there was no movent. Peeping through the door viewer, he saw no one. Hesitating, he opened the door and looked around; the person was gone, but the things were still there.

He sighed.

This little jerk, did he really think sending a few things would let the matter slide?

...

anwhile, Qi Zeyan returned ho, and his grandpa grabbed him to get to the bottom of the situation. Upon hearing Ruan ngxi cried when she returned, he picked up an orange nearby and threw it at him.

Qi Zeyan instinctively dodged.

"Little brat, you dare dodge, don’t move!" said his grandpa, grabbing another orange and directly hitting his nose; it hurt quite a bit.

"You little punk, how could you let her go back crying! No wonder her father doesn’t like you. If it were , if you made my daughter cry, you’d get beaten first upon seeing you."

"You seem pretty smart at work usually, how co at critical monts you’re so clueless, even your dad isn’t like this!"

Qi Zeyan rubbed his nose, "I wasn’t clear about my feelings then. You said I didn’t like her, yet agreed to try dating, that’s deceiving her feelings."

"And you let her walk away crying?"

"Her social dia looked quite happy."

"..." His grandpa took a deep breath, "Do you think everyone is as heartless as you?"

Qi Zeyan pursed his lips, "Grandpa, what do I do now?"

"What else can you do, stick shalessly to her, behave well, and strive to change her parents’ impression."

"I think it’s a bit difficult."

"Then prepare to be single for life." His grandpa coldly snorted, the more he thought about it, the angrier he got. After going back to his room, he even called his son to vent.

The result was that Qi Zeyan caused the ss. He wasn’t scolded much; all the anger ended up being directed at his father.

The next day

Qi Zeyan got up early, bought breakfast, and planned to show goodwill. After knocking on the door for a long ti with no response, he had no choice but to ask around, and the first person he naturally sought was Tang Wan.

"You’re looking for Xixi, asking ?" Tang Wan frowned.

"Her phone is turned off, and I don’t have her parents’ phone numbers, so..."

"I’ll help you ask."

The dinner yesterday left everyone feeling uncomfortable, so Tang Wan took the opportunity by wanting to invite the three mbers of the Ruan Family to be guests at her ho again, and made a call to inquire.

Only to find out, they were worried about being photographed by reporters, and left the apartnt before dawn.

Qi Zeyan was completely deflated; they actually ran away?

Their anger made him directly declare within the industry that if anyone ever focused on the Ruan Family again, he would ensure they wouldn’t be comfortable.

The reporters didn’t dare take pictures, but that didn’t an he could et Ruan ngxi.

He could still watch her at the club before, but there was an issue with the fire safety, and it went through a period of business suspension for rectification. When Tang Wan went to inquire again, the Ruan Family parents simply took their daughter on a trip, away from trouble, and away from Qi Zeyan.

Qi Zeyan was now completely in the ’burning love pursuit,’ as even his future father-in-law didn’t like him, and even Ruan ngxi ignored him.

"Why are you laughing?" Jiang Jinsang had just taken a walk downstairs with the baby and saw Tang Wan giggling when he returned to the house.

"It’s nothing, just Zeyan and Xixi." Tang Wan briefly explained the situation.

"With such a big issue happening, it’s normal for Uncle and Aunt to want to take her out to clear her mind."

As they were talking, Jiang Jinsang’s phone vibrated. He held his son’s little bottom with one hand, and when he saw the caller ID was an unfamiliar number, he frowned slightly, as usually, only acquaintances knew this number.

"Hello?"

"Can you recognize my voice?" the other party asked with a smile.

Jiang Jinsang was taken aback for a mont, "I can recognize it."

"I spoke to you about the child yesterday, and it suddenly reminded of when I was pregnant and gave birth. The postpartum recovery was tough. I have a few things here that your wife could use, I’ll send them to you..."

Since the items were ant for Tang Wan, Jiang Jinsang couldn’t refuse easily, so he had to thank them and accept.

"Whose call was it?"

"As I ntioned yesterday, it was the lady from the You Family, saying she wanted to send you so items." After returning ho, Jiang Jinsang explained the incident to Tang Wan.

"Sending items? Is she trying to help the You Family with the aftermath?"

"Probably not. If they wanted to help the You Family, they could’ve stepped in as diators yesterday when we were at their house." Jiang Jinsang hugged his son, "Even if we fall out with them, it doesn’t matter; we have no interaction anyway, and it’s just like before, staying clear of each other’s path. There’s no need for them to send us items."

"Then it’s probably just a kind gesture, don’t overthink it."

...

On the other side

After the call, the lady started organizing things at ho. After packing the items, she worried that Tang Wan wouldn’t know how to use them, so she handwrote a manual.

Nowadays everyone is used to using phones, so writing made her forget characters, and she wondered about the writing of certain words when soone suddenly tapped her back, "Mom—"

Frightened, she gasped and turned to the person who had walked up to her, "You girl, do you walk soundlessly? You scared ."

"I called you, but you didn’t hear . What are you writing with such focus?"

"Just sending so items to others."

She nodded and didn’t ask more.

"By the way, if your uncle contacts you recently, don’t respond to him."

"Uncle?" She frowned, "Why is he contacting ? Did he upset you again? Trying to smooth things over and save your cousin?"

"At his age, he doesn’t have a clear understanding of things; his poor child-rearing skills show a lack of integrity!"

"What exactly happened?"

"It’s nothing. How do you write ’breastfeeding’?"

She laughed, "Who are you sending these things to?"

"To the Jiang Family’s daughter-in-law, the one who just had a baby, rember, there was quite a stir then, you should rember."

She hesitated, coughing softly, "I rember. How do you know their family?"

"Just happened to et them, and saw Jiang Jinsang and Jiang Chengsi. Jiang Family’s Xiaosi is quite free-spirited for a child raised in a family like that, rare and quite interesting."

"...Interesting? Isn’t Jiang Chengsi considered an oddball?"

"By the standards of large family heir training, he’s definitely an oddball, but a child raised by the Jiang Family wouldn’t be bad, and watching him eat was quite appetizing."

"..."

"If you’re free, go out more. We’ll be settling in Beijing permanently, and you don’t have a single friend. What’s the use of being at ho all the ti fussing over cheongsams? No matter how pretty you dress, soone has to appreciate it."

She laughed reluctantly, yet she thought to herself:

Jiang Chengsi... appetizing?

This evaluation? Is it good or bad?
