It didn’t press against her lower back, maintaining a slight distance, but she was completely rigid, not daring to move.

"Then I’ll be going first." She said, getting ready to run off.

Her back was pressed against his chest, her head almost resting on his neck. The words ca from his mouth, yet seed to echo around his throat.
The sound pierced through her eardrums straight to the depths of her heart, surrounding her with his presence.
Dry and fiery.
She felt Jiang Chengsi’s hand intensely hot, even through clothing; still, it felt warm.
Her whole being seed to lt away from softness, yet she was too tense to move.
"Speak, are you alright?" His voice wasn’t gentle, yet it sent shivers through her heart.
The fingers gripping her waist twitched slightly, his nose catching the clean, pleasant scent of sandalwood from her. He kept his head low, glancing at her from this angle, perfectly viewing the curve of her neck.
Ti and air seed to halt as if frozen.
Sunlight stread in from a side window, softening everything, with specks of dust dancing in the light, inexplicably dizzying the mind.
Ruan ngxi, holding an invoice, watched the scene unfold before her eyes...
