At the rest area, naturally, no one from the Huo Family dared to ask, but upon arriving at the base, at the eting the next day, soone couldn’t help but speak up. Everyone noticed the damage at the corner of his mouth—it was just that with his cold and deathly deanor, a single glance from him had everyone lowering their voices a notch.

The leader asked, and a bunch of people watched as if it were a show.
Huo Qinqi remained unruffled when questioned, not a trace of embarrassnt on his face. He opened his mouth and simply said,
"My cat at ho did it."
After he said this, everyone’s expression read: You’re kidding, right!
"You’re keeping a cat now?"
"Just got one."
"That cat dares to ss with you? What they say is true, pets resemble their owners, your cat must be... pretty wild!" The remark was loaded with implication, but Huo Qinqi didn’t reply.
anwhile, Shen Shuci was brushing her teeth and getting ready to pick soone up from the airport. Today was Friday, and the parents from the Shen Family were coming over. She had specially taken the day off from work, including the weekend, to spend quality ti with them.
Looking at herself in the mirror, she inadvertently recalled the events of the previous night, and her heart began racing again at the sight of the little orange kitten lying in its bed...

So people’s hos sll because of their pets, and so cats and dogs enjoy scratching things, potentially leaving claw marks on walls or furniture, so it was common for landlords to be reluctant to allow tenants to keep pets.

"By the way, are you planning to extend the lease on this apartnt?"
"Still not sure." Shen Shuci had only rented the apartnt for three months.

It made one dare not relax in the slightest when facing him.
"It’s stuck," he said in a low voice.
"Yeah." At this mont, Shen Shuci was trapped between him and the window. If she wanted to escape, she would have to squeeze past him, which would an brushing against his body. It was too intimate, overly flirtatious.
anwhile, the landlord was still talking to her, basically explaining that if she decided not to renew the lease, he would advertise the rental information online in advance. If soone else was willing to rent, it would be too late for Shen Shuci to decide to renew...
"I understand, if I decide to move out, I’ll let you know in advance," Shen Shuci said, trying to keep her back pressed against the wall to avoid touching him.
Yet, despite her efforts, their clothes unavoidably brushed against each other, and in the quiet room, even the rustling sound of their clothing couldn’t be ignored.
After Shen Shuci hung up the phone, he finally looked down at her, "Are you thinking of moving out?"
