Chapter 677: 423 Uncle Wu’s 2.0 upgrade version? Afraid she can’t handle the stimulation (2 more updates)

At 7:50 a.m., inside the Hospital

Zhou Zhongqing had just arrived at his office, washed his hands, disinfected, and changed clothes, when his assistant approached, ready to accompany him on his rounds, “We also have a consultation in the oncology departnt at 10:30, so there’s nothing else, right?”

“Yes, the oncology patient has been confird to have multiple tumors. The situation isn’t good; he’s only in his forties and his family is struggling.”

“Don’t we have so special aid at our hospital? Have you not applied for him?”

“We’ve expedited the process, but for his condition, it’s rely a drop in the bucket…”

The assistant hadn’t finished speaking when Zhou Zhongqing’s phone began to vibrate. He glanced at the caller ID: [Jiang Xiaowu].

What’s this kid doing, calling early in the morning?

“Hello, Xiaowu.”

“Uncle Zhou, are you at the hospital?”

“On a weekday, definitely.”

“I’m coming over with Wanwan shortly.”

“I have to make rounds. Wait in my office when you arrive.”

Jiang Jinsang knew Tang Wan was pregnant, having experienced shock, surprise, and ecstatic joy, before calming down.

Although the little one was a bit early, who wouldn’t want a child with the person they love? Once slightly calr, he decided to take Tang Wan for a check-up. Shen Shuci had already been with them for a hectic morning. In just over an hour, he himself was sweating from nervousness.

“I’ll take Wanwan to the hospital. It’s been quite a morning for you, and ho still…”

Jiang Jinsang surveyed the ssy rental flat. It hadn’t been tidied up this morning because of the commotion, “You rest at ho.”

“It’s fine with Xiaowu accompanying . You co too; I’m quite nervous,” Tang Wan said with a smile.

“Let know imdiately if there’s any issue,” Shen Shuci nodded.

“Keep this matter to ourselves for now.”

“I understand,” thought Shen Shuci. A joyous occasion like this should be announced by the couple to their friends and family themselves.

After they arrived at the hospital, Zhou Zhongqing was still making his rounds, so they went ahead and had an ultrasound done; the doctor was an acquaintance of Tang Wan from the banquet Zhou Zhongqing organized. The dical staff, familiar with Zhou Zhongqing, were surprised at first, but upon realizing it was for a pregnancy check, they congratulated them heartily.

Zhou Zhongqing had just finished his rounds and was arranging a test for a patient when he encountered a colleague who looked at him teasingly.

Pregnancy is normally a patient’s private matter, and as a doctor, it’s inappropriate to spread the news. However, Zhou Zhongqing was different; he was Tang Wan’s godfather.

The female doctor spoke in a hushed tone, “Old Zhou, such good fortune, congratulations!”

Zhou Zhongqing frowned slightly, “What?”

“You’ve always said you wanted to pay back the favors we owed you over the years. It seems you’ll be able to earn it back soon.”

“What are you talking about?”

“You’re about to beco a grandfather. Didn’t you know? Such good news shouldn’t be kept hidden,” the female doctor said laughingly.

Huh?

Grandfather?

He… was going to be a grandfather?

Though the news was sudden, he was very excited.

After arranging the patient’s test, Zhou Zhongqing hurried back to the ward. Tang Wan was just getting the chance to have breakfast, sitting at his desk and quietly sipping congee, while Jiang Jinsang was attentively by her side.

“Is it confird?”

Tang Wan nodded, “Over a month now.”

“Very good, very good…” Zhou Zhongqing said with a smile, “Just drinking bland congee? Wouldn’t you want sothing else to eat? Wanwan is pregnant, and you let her eat only this?”

“It’s who doesn’t have an appetite; it’s not Xiaowu’s fault,” Tang Wan said, smiling.

“How are you feeling now?” Zhou Zhongqing, though not a gynecologist, had a broad dical understanding, certainly more so than Jiang Jinsang.

“Uncle Zhou, actually we ca today to see you about another matter…” Jiang Jinsang clenched his lips tight, “My health is fine now, but I don’t know if this condition might…”

He looked at Tang Wan and Zhou Zhongqing imdiately understood.

They were worried it might be hereditary.

Jiang Jinsang inherited this condition in the womb, and without any precedence, it was hard to say whether it would be hereditary. Zhou Zhongqing, initially excited, had completely overlooked this issue.

His mouth tensed as he spoke after a while:

“I’ll arrange for Wanwan to undergo more tests. So diseases require screening later in the pregnancy, but even then, it can’t guarantee the future…”

“Let’s do the tests first and make sure there’s no issue before I discuss it with the family,” Tang Wan ant for Zhou Zhongqing to keep it confidential for now.

After all, if the tests did reveal sothing, other plans would definitely need to be considered.

“Don’t be too anxious. Xiaowu’s condition likely won’t be hereditary,” Zhou Zhongqing said, though not with much conviction.

Tang Wan and Jiang Jinsang left the Hospital and seed quite relaxed; worrying about so things at this ti was pointless, so they went out to a furniture store to pick out quite a few pieces for their new ho. Previously, Tang Wan hadn’t been too interested in setting up a nursery, but today she bought many items.

The couple was joyful, which made Zhou Zhongqing constantly worry and sigh.

“Teacher, what’s the matter?” The assistant didn’t know about Tang Wan’s pregnancy.

Zhou Zhongqing just shook his head, “Do you think I owed Jiang Xiaowu sothing in my last life…”

“What do you an?”

“From his childhood to adulthood, I’ve worried and feared for him countless tis. Just when he seed out of trouble, and I even acknowledged a goddaughter, thinking I was starting a new life, now look…”

The big issue was resolved, and now he had to start worrying about the little one!

He always felt that he might ss up in this lifeti because of him.

“I’m going to a eting at the oncology departnt first. Can you compile all of Xiaowu’s information and give it to later? I’ll have a thorough look.” Previously, Zhou Zhongqing only focused on saving his life and hadn’t considered genetic issues.

He hoped the child would be like Wanwan, a bit more well-behaved, and definitely not like his dad, or else he’d create another troublemaker.

Just the thought of a “Jiang Jinsang 2.0 version” erging gave him a severe headache and his worries wouldn’t clear.

When Tang Wan and Jiang Jinsang got ho, the old lady had already transplanted the orchid into another pot. When asked about their sudden departure, the couple kept it a secret for the ti being and casually made up an excuse to placate her.

It frustrated the old lady so much she almost grabbed her cane to hit him.

Then the old lady decreed:

“From now on, neither Jiang Jinsang nor Tang Wan are allowed to touch my flowers.”

This left Tang Wan baffled, “Grandma, why include ?”

The old lady coughed twice, “Now, whenever I see you two, I get upset. Can’t I enforce a collective punishnt?”

Tang Wan, being the dutiful granddaughter, always saw the old lady tending the plants and couldn’t help but want to assist. The younger generation had good intentions, and the old lady felt bad for discouraging her, but she shivered at the thought of them touching the plants. This was the perfect opportunity to keep them away from her precious plants.

Tang Wan also glared at Jiang Jinsang, implying:

It’s all your fault, getting involved.

Jiang Jinsang understood the old lady’s intentions and resignedly thought:

Whatever, I’m in a good mood today; I can take the bla.

However, despite their precautions, the old lady’s delicate plants eventually got ruined, and it was Jiang Jinsang who took the bla—though that was a story for another ti.

Although the family hadn’t been inford about Tang Wan’s pregnancy, Jiang Jinsang was definitely making preparations. He read so relevant books, but that information was ultimately just clichés with limited applicability or specificity. After much thought, he decided to call his older brother.

Jiang Yanting was currently worried about wedding video issues.

When Huo Qinqi asked him for it, he claid the videographer hadn’t sent it to him yet. Both sides were shrewd, and although he only said to let him see it when the video was ready, they likely both understood sothing more.

He was just out for his honeymoon, and yet he’d stumbled into a pile of issues and was having a headache when he received a call from Jiang Jinsang.

“Is sothing up?”

Jiang Jinsang called him and suddenly rembered that during his sister-in-law’s pregnancy, he wasn’t around and didn’t have much Say. “There’s sothing I want to discuss with sister-in-law…”

Calling but asking for my wife?

Jiang Yanting handed the phone to Shen Zhixian.

“… you ntioned wanting to know about pregnancy, is it because Wanwan has a situation?”

Jiang Yanting frowned slightly, pregnancy?

“Is that so? I thought Wanwan was pregnant because I’m carrying twins, and the symptoms are quite strong. However, the most challenging part is still the latter stage of pregnancy when my feet swelled so much I couldn’t fit into my shoes…” Jiang Jinsang said he was preparing for pregnancy and wanted to know more in advance. Shen Zhixian naturally shared everything she knew.

After hanging up, Shen Zhixian returned the phone to Jiang Yanting, “Xiaowu is so considerate and ticulous, asking about pregnancy in such detail just for pre-pregnancy preparation.”

Jiang Yanting just smiled, pre-pregnancy preparation?

Shen Zhixian might not understand him, but watching his little brother grow up, Jiang Yanting didn’t think it was just about pre-pregnancy preparation.

Knowing they were on their honeymoon, and that there’s always a preparatory period from pre-pregnancy to actual pregnancy, it made no sense for him to urgently seek Zhixian’s advice on pregnancy unless…

So, the most likely scenario was that Tang Wan was pregnant…

As soone about to beco an uncle, he was naturally thrilled, but then he thought:

How much does Tang Wan know about the issues between Old Huo and Shen Shuci? When he left the capital, Jiang Yanting could be sure that both Tang Wan and Jiang Jinsang were unaware.

Could she accept the two being together?

Would she withstand any shocks if she found out?

Jiang Yanting massaged his temples, feeling overwheld by one thing after another during his honeymoon, leaving him no peace.
