Hotel Room
Liang Han had just entered when the hotel manager and two security guards, wary about the situation, followed in to check. In case of a conflict, they could intervene in ti. The door was left ajar, yet the onlookers could no longer see what was happening inside.
The two elders of the Shen Family were seated on the living room sofa, both appearing extrely kind-hearted. Mr. Shen, the elder, was in his sharp Zhongshan suit, looking spry and robust.
He wasn’t the lean and fierce type; he was slightly plump, which made him seem even more benevolent.
"Grandfather?" Tang Wan took a deep breath.
"Liang Han, is it?" Mr. Shen smiled as he spoke, his eyes and brows curving, exceptionally affable.
"Humph—" Liang Han snorted as he twisted his fingers. Where on earth had Jiang Grandfather found such a formidable daughter-in-law? For a mont, as their eyes t, he felt that this woman really wanted to break him.
"Liang Han!" Tang Wan saw his arrogant deanor and furrowed her brows.
"Go pour him a cup of tea. He’s a guest after all. Please have a seat, Mr. Liang." The old man said with a smile. "Wanwan, you should pour one for your grandmother as well; it’s ti for her dication."
Liang Han saw that the elderly couple from the Shen Family were kind and gentle, far more so than Tang Wan. He felt slightly emboldened, sensing he could regain so face in front of the elders.
Watching him revert to his old ways, Tang Wan slightly frowned—this boy really needed to be put in his place.
"Wanwan, go pour the water. What are you waiting for?" Mr. Shen frowned.
"Yes." Tang Wan said, walking over to the kettle.
Mr. Shen then looked at Liang Han with a smile, "So, Mr. Liang, you’ve co so early to see my daughter? But she left early this morning. She’s really not around. If you have any matters, you can speak directly to us."
Liang Han thought it would probably be more effective to talk to her parents than to her. He pulled out a stack of photos from his inner pocket and slapped them on the table, "Take a look for yourselves!"
The elders of the Shen Family picked up the photos, all featuring Shen Shuci and Liang Wenzhong...
"I see you are very cultured people. I really don’t understand how you could raise a daughter like this?"
"What do you an by that?" The old lady looked down at the photos.

Liang Han saw that the elders stayed silent as they frowned, which only encouraged him further. Tang Wan had poured a glass of water for the elders and handed another one to him. His mouth was dry from talking, and just as he was about to take a sip, he burned his tongue, "Hiss—"
He looked at Tang Wan. She was standing to the side, her expression indifferent, her eyes lazy and filled with disdain.
Mr. Shen had finished looking through the photos and smiled at Liang Han, "You say my daughter seduced your father? Where’s the evidence?"
"Aren’t these photos evidence?"
"Catch a thief with the loot, catch an adulterer in bed, what do these photos prove?" Mr. Shen’s voice remained gentle.
"She also accepted gifts from my dad! A necklace worth tens of thousands."
"Ha—" The old man laughed aloud, "A thing that costs tens of thousands, do you think it’s sothing so valuable we can’t afford it?"
Seeing Mr. Shen’s change in deanor, and also being twisted by Tang Wan earlier, in a burst of anger, Liang Han slamd the cup onto the table.
"Smash—" The sound of the glass cup striking the glass table was a deep thud.
The manager and security guards by the side held their breath; they knew it was only a matter of ti before trouble started.

Photos are not heavy, but the sudden sting as they lash across the skin is thoroughly painful.

It was clear skies just a mont ago; now, it was like dark clouds descended upon the city, the atmosphere in the living room completely transford.
