In the rest area of the police station
Qi Zeyan glanced from the corners of his eyes at the two hulking presences, "Uh... I’d like to use the restroom, you guys chat at your leisure."
If he stayed any longer, he might suffocate to death.
You guys are so capable, why not confront each other directly? Why keep making trouble for , taking turns to stab in the back? How is anyone supposed to bear this?
Although he wanted to stay and watch the drama unfold, survival was far more important. Throughout history, fleeing under the guise of going to pee has always been most effective.
"Perfect, I need to go too, I’ll join you," Jiang Jinsang also stood up.
Qi Zeyan was dumbfounded: He only knew that, in school, girls went to the bathroom in groups, but what was this about two grown n planning a bathroom rendezvous?
Clearly, Jiang Jinsang had sothing he wanted to discuss with Zeyan alone. It was his disadvantage in the sparring with Huo Qinqi or his lack of understanding about him and Shen Shuci.

Qi Zeyan kept making eyes at Huo Qinqi:

However, Huo Qinqi didn’t ignore his plea for help, yet his response only caused Zeyan further despair: "I might as well go to the restroom too."

Qi Zeyan once again flanked by the two n on his way to the restroom!
I freaking asked you to hold him back so I could escape, not for you to tag along!

The police station’s restroom was obviously communal, everyone busy with their own affairs, but they couldn’t help but give these three a couple of extra glances as they went to the bathroom together.
"You’re all such good friends? Even heading to the restroom in a group."

Anyway, Qi Zeyan’s attempt to escape through the restroom was unsuccessful, and in the end, he returned to the rest area.
But by this ti, Shen Shuci had already returned.
"How did it go? The police didn’t give you a hard ti, did they?" Jiang Jinsang was naturally caring and polite toward her.
"Just had to go through a recording, got a little bit of education, other than that, nothing much."
"Drink so water." Huo Qinqi handed her a cup of warm water.

Qi Zeyan was dumbstruck, the two who had been at each other’s throats were now getting along famously.
It was just because Shen Shuci showed up, right? Why stop the bickering, what’s with the pretense of being upstanding citizens?

"Then..." Shen Shuci turned to Huo Qinqi, "Thanks for today, since there’s no issue, I’m preparing to leave. You should head ho too."
Shen Shuci had co to the rest area just to let Jiang Jinsang know she was ready to leave together.
"I was looking for Uncle Huo and Auntie Huo to thank them, but I didn’t see them. I will invite them for a al when we’re free," Shuci said, still very polite to Qinqi, putting down her cup, ready to leave with Jinsang.
To her surprise, Huo Qinqi actually spoke up, "Wait a bit more, for my parents to return."
"Hmm?" Shuci was puzzled.
Even Jiang Jinsang frowned slightly; it was indeed getting late, and elders were waiting at ho. Why keep them?
"My parents and I, we’ll go back with you."
"Go back with us?" Shuci frowned, why?
"To et your parents, today’s events, we should explain to the elders."
"..."
et the parents? Shen Shuci was stunned, the turn of events was becoming ever more uncontrollable.
"You should go back and get ready," Qinqi bluntly suggested, "My parents went to the mall, they might need so ti."
Shuci was bewildered: Get ready for what? And what are his parents doing at the mall at this hour?
"Going to et your parents empty-handed wouldn’t be right," Qinqi added, trying to explain.
Shuci blinked, still confused, seized Qinqi’s hand, and walked straight out of the rest area.
"Hey, Auntie—" Qi Zeyan’s eyes widened in panic, don’t leave behind.

But this was a police station, and with the Liang Family matter at hand, many people were busy, instantly revealing smiles at the "hand in hand" exit of the two.
Tsk tsk—
Shuci could only drag Qinqi toward an unoccupied area; she’d been to the police station a few tis but wasn’t familiar with the layout. As they walked into areas with more people, her anxiety grew, and she found it even more difficult to find a way out.
When she passed the front of an office for the second ti, a bold officer teased:
