Shen Shuci slept very late last night, or rather, most people went to bed quite late, except for Jiang Yanting and Shen Zhixian who had to get up early to take their child to kindergarten, while Jiang Zhenhuan and Jiang Shiyi both had to go to work at the company, waking up early as well.
"Why isn’t anyone up today?" As soon as Jiangjiang’s words fell, he saw the carrot he had picked out being dumped back into his bowl by Jiang Yanting.
"Finish it." The sa old terrible dad approach.
Nobody wanted to upset the child, but during growth spurts, Jiangjiang was quite picky with his food, so soone had to play the bad guy. He couldn’t let his wife take on that role; it had to be him.
"Look at your sister. Can’t you set a good example for her as an older brother?"
"I really don’t want to eat it."
As Jiangjiang said this, he tried to jump off the stool to escape but was caught by the back of his collar by Jiang Yanting and pressed back into his seat.
"Dad, look at that!" Jiangjiang pointed outside, "The tree’s about to fall!"
"Don’t pull that trick, just eat your food."
"I’m serious, the rain was so heavy yesterday, look, it’s made the tree lean."
Jiang Yanting glanced over and indeed, the tree was leaning.
"I have to tell Uncle!" Jiangjiang seized the chance to jump off the stool and ran upstairs, clearly not wanting to eat the carrots.
Jiang Yanting raised an eyebrow: this little rascal...

When Jiangjiang reached the upstairs, Jiang Jinsang was already up, while Tang Wan leaned on the bed, on the phone.
"Why are you here?" Since Tang Wan was on the phone, Jiang Jinsang spoke in a deliberately lowered voice.
"Uncle!" Jiangjiang raised his hand, signaling for him to co over.
"What’s up?"
"Your tree is leaning."
"Okay, I got it." That tree’s trunk wasn’t even as thick as a wrist; last night’s heavy rain and strong winds inevitably blew it askew. All it needed was so replanting.
Seeing that Tang Wan was still on the phone, Jiangjiang said his piece and left, while Jiang Jinsang noticed that her call had ended, and her expression seed a bit off, "Why did the police call you so early?"
After becoming pregnant, Tang Wan inevitably felt heavy and sleepy. If it weren’t for the police station’s call, she wouldn’t have woken up.
"Liang Han had a fall from a building, and he’s in critical condition."
"A fall?" Jiang Jinsang frowned.

anwhile, Tang Wan’s phone rang again, an unmarked strange number. Thinking it might be another police officer, she answered, "Hello? Who is this?"
"Tang Wan, I beg you to save my son, please..."
"Mrs. Liang...?"
"Right now, only Doctor Zhou can save him in all of Beijing. We can’t reach him, can you please help us out, I’m begging you." The person on the other end sounded tearful, intermittent, and at tis incoherent, even ntioning doing anything for Tang Wan.
"You’re her goddaughter, you can definitely find him, right?"
"I’m really out of options, I beg you..."
She hardly gave Tang Wan a chance to speak and seed to have received another critical condition notification on her end before the call was cut off.
"They’re asking for your help?" Jiang Jinsang sneered, while at that mont the sound of a car was heard from outside. He walked to the window and looked out, "Looks like it’s Uncle Zhou’s car."
"Why has godfather co so early?" Tang Wan quickly got out of bed to wash up and get dressed.

By the ti the two ca downstairs, Jiang Zhenhuan and Jiang Shiyi had already left for the company. Jiang Yanting and his wife had already left to take their child to kindergarten. Only granny and Fan Mingyu were receiving Zhou Zhongqing.
"Godfather, what brings you here so early?"
"I asked him to co." Granny said with a smile, "Didn’t we have quite a few issues yesterday? Your grandma isn’t feeling very well, so I was worried she might be unwell. You know how the elderly are, always like this, not wanting to trouble the kids unless they really can’t manage, so I took the initiative to have him co over and take a look."
"I happened not to have consultations today anyway." Zhou Zhongqing smiled at the two, "How are you both? Everything okay?"
"I’m quite well..." Tang Wan touched her belly, "The baby’s been very well-behaved."
"Let’s hope they stay this considerate after birth and certainly not pick up brother’s habits." Fan Mingyu said with a smile as she invited Tang Wan to have breakfast, "Jiangjiang was being picky with his food today and again got his parents quite upset. The child only seems to learn soone’s bad habits..."
