Huo Qinqi was leaning against the wall by the door, dressed in dark green casual wear. In the dim corridor, his features were distinctly cold and stern, lips tightly pressed, lifting his brows slightly to look at her as she erged.
Maybe from not resting well for too long, his eyes were red, unable to hide his fatigue.
“You…” Shen Shuci didn’t finish speaking before he stepped forward, caught her wrist, and pushed her inside the door.
With a crisp door-closing sound, she found herself enveloped in his embrace.
His clothes seed to still retain the chill of the night, yet his arms were warm as ever.
“Qinqi?” Shen Shuci felt like she was dreaming, hesitating for a few seconds before tentatively reaching out, clutching the fabric on his flanks, “When did you co back?”
“Around four.”
“Why not co in?” She had fingerprint and password locks that Huo Qinqi knew about.
“I know you’ve been very tired lately, didn’t want to bother you, wanted you to sleep a little longer.”
The raspy and subdued voice made Shen Shuci’s heart tremble.
Huo Qinqi was always more of a doer than a talker, Shen Shuci knew he sincerely cared for her.
“It’s okay, you can co to find anyti when you co back…” Shen Shuci loosened her grip a little, then reached around to hug his waist, “Because…”
“I want to see you.”
Huo Qinqi slightly stepped back, “You’re saying you want ?”

Perhaps for Huo Qinqi, he was just caring for her and didn’t want to disturb her rest, but for Shen Shuci, it sparked a different kind of emotion, her heart racing, pounding strong and fast.
“Shuci.” He called her in an increasingly deep and alluring voice.
Her heart tangled tightly, like claws scratching at it.
She was held completely in his arms, head bowed as his breath brushed lightly over her face, touching the tip of her nose, gently, warmly.
Shen Shuci felt the tickling sensation, shrank to the side, causing him to chuckle softly.
“Ticklish?”
Just as Shen Shuci was about to speak, Huo Qinqi tilted his head slightly, pressed his lips against hers firmly. The pressure too great, her breath hitched, body instinctively retreating until she bumped into the wall behind her.
He reached to support the back of her head, his other hand cradling her chin, lifting slightly, forcing her to tilt her face more towards his leaning down point to kiss.
He was too eager…
Shen Shuci felt her heart trembling lightly, her legs swayed unable to stand firm.
