The springs and autumns in Beijing are always quite short. The cool wind passes by, the dry leaves rustle, giving a faint illusion of the imminent arrival of harsh winter.
Huo Qinqi, the groom, can’t participate in the entire wedding preparation process. Many things are organized by the Huo Family and Shen Shuci, with Ruan ngxi wanting to find sothing to keep herself busy and help out as well.
That day, the autumn chill was piercing, and Tang Wan was sitting on a single sofa with a tablet in front of her, eating while watching a drama, while two others were busy.
Shen Shuci was filling out guest nas on the wedding invitations based on the guest list, while Ruan ngxi had a computer open, her fingers constantly scrolling the mouse.
"Auntie, listen to this piece of music," Ruan ngxi said as she played a song.

"Then let’s use this one." Ruan ngxi was helping her make electronic invitations.
Tang Wan, seeing her selecting photos, leaned over to take a look, "I rember when you were in school, you couldn’t even make a PowerPoint. Now you can edit photos?"
"After starting work, there’s always a need for everything. It’s not easy to rely on others for help; sotis the boss is in a hurry and there’s no one else to ask, so I had to do it myself."
As an assistant, perhaps you don’t need to master everything, but you do need to know a bit about everything.

Jiang Chengsi hadn’t seen the invitations yet, so he casually picked one up and examined it thoroughly.
The atmosphere at the Huo Family is too serious, and the senior mbers of the Shen Family worry about disturbing the elders; so often, wedding matters are handled over at Guantang Villa. Having been married before, Tang Wan can offer quite a few suggestions.
"Since you’re here, take your invitation as well as third brother’s with you later," Tang Wan smiled at him, "What have you been busy with lately? Grandma ntioned she hasn’t seen you in a while."
"What else? It’s all club stuff. I plan to open before the end of the year, and I’ve been recruiting drivers and staff," Jiang Chengsi was exhausted.
"Xiaowu is an exception as he’s busy with the wedding, but Qi Zeyan, that guy, said the company’s been busy with end-of-year accounting, and he doesn’t co to help either?"
"It seems everyone thinks that just because they put in so money, they can wash their hands of the whole affair."
Speaking of Qi Zeyan, Tang Wan instinctively glanced at Ruan ngxi, who was still engrossed in her design, seemingly unaffected.
"Assistant Xiaoruan, with your boss being so busy, how do you have ti to be here?" Jiang Chengsi looked at Ruan ngxi, moving closer to her from behind, "Doing so work, huh? You’re doing pretty well."
"It’s alright," Ruan ngxi smiled.
"Xiaoruan, co over, let’s have a private chat," Jiang Chengsi grinned at her.
But everyone could tell his smile was hiding sothing, surely he had an agenda.
"Is there anything you can’t say here?" Ruan ngxi, not very familiar with him, felt a bit puzzled by the sudden suggestion of a private chat.
"It’s Xiaowu’s place, what could I possibly do to you," Jiang Chengsi smiled.
Ruan ngxi had no choice but to follow him into a side room.
She wondered why he wanted to talk to her since they had no interactions, not even being WeChat friends. Turned out his first sentence was:
"Xiaoruan, have you ever thought about switching jobs?"
"..."
Ruan ngxi was a bit confused. She had considered many possibilities but never thought Jiang Chengsi was trying to poach her.
"Actually, I know sothing about you, and you’re capable, but with Zeyan, your position is a bit awkward. Besides, always being an assistant to soone, where is the room for developnt?"
Jiang Chengsi believed that although he’s not particularly eloquent, the conditions he offered were definitely enticing.
