“You could have chosen heaven’s path but you didn’t, hell had no gate yet you crashed in, just as well, the various Poisonous Insects in the mountains are also hungry at this time, it’s perfect to give them a hearty meal,” Yun Xiao said coldly, then turned around to look at Bei Shan, signaling him to leave quickly.
In this stacked jungle, there were poisonous barriers, as well as all sorts of Poisonous Insects and Poisonous Snakes, presumably only the people of their Chixia tribe knew how to avoid these harmful things.

Yun Xiao realized what was happening too late, but Nan Feng was alert. She saw the bug on Xia Dabao’s body and immediately flicked it away with her finger, flicking it to the ground and then stamping on it fiercely. The Tree Spirit Gu was immediately squashed into a pulp.
“My Gu…” Yun Xiao looked at the mushy mess, wanting to crush Bei Shan with a single palm!
Yet, Bei Shan shouted out, “Who would have thought, we get two for the price of one.”
He immediately whistled and soon after, another person emerged from the forest.
This was a man who appeared to be around sixty years old, dressed in the local attire but with an added long black robe which trailed on the ground. In his hand, he held something resembling a scepter, obviously a person of high authority.
And upon his arrival, Bei Shan and Yun Xiao came forward to pay their respects, addressing him as “Elder Yun”.
Elder Yun?
Elder Yun first sized up Xia Dabao’s family, then looked at Bei Shan and Yun Xiao with fury, “Just these few people, with three of them being women and children, and the two of you couldn’t handle it, having to summon me out?”
Bei Shan hurriedly ingratiated himself with an explanation, “Elder Yun, it’s not that we couldn’t solve the issue, oh no, we indeed couldn’t. Don’t look at them as just a few people, but this big fellow here, even Yun Xiao isn’t a match for him.”
Elder Yun looked at the towering figure of Xia Dabao, with a frown on his brow. These people, though wearing clothes from the South Zhao Kingdom, could easily be identified as Central Plains folks at a glance.

Bei Shan hadn’t finished speaking when Elder Yun’s face suddenly showed shock.
His Martial Arts skills might have been lacking, but his ability to deploy Gu was top-notch. With a casual wave of his hand, two Gu simultaneously flew towards Nan Feng and Xia Dabao.
Xia Dabao wanted to stop them, but with no experience, he was indeed a step too slow, and the two Gu landed on Nan Feng and Xia Dabao immediately.
But to their amazement, the Gu simply stayed on their bodies without causing any harm, let alone burrowing into them.
