When the food was ready, Nan Feng went back into the house to call Ye Ge for dinner.
When Ye Ge wasn’t around, Feng Gu dared to eat at the same table with Nan Feng, because Nan Feng did not hold herself above others.
However, now that Ye Ge was there, Feng Gu willingly gave up her spot at the table to him. Servants weren’t supposed to eat with their masters—it was tradition, and Feng Gu knew this.
After dinner, Feng Gu cleaned up the dishes and pots. Knowing that Nan Feng bathed every night, she also heated water for her.

Ye Ge seemed satisfied.
Although Nan Feng didn’t often write, she kept calligraphy tools on hand. She quickly took out an inkstone and began to grind the ink, but it was quite hard to grind. Eventually, Ye Ge took over.
When Ye Ge finished grinding the ink, he looked at Nan Feng, indicating it was her turn to write. She sat beside him, but he pulled her onto his lap. As Nan Feng settled, Ye Ge guided her hand to write.
In reality, Nan Feng didn’t contribute much—it was really Ye Ge who did the writing. As he wrote, his warm breath caressed her neck, sending pleasant shivers down her spine. Thus, Nan Feng didn’t learn a single character in the end.
