Perhaps she had delayed too much time at Nan Feng’s place. The girl could no longer run and was soon caught by the men following behind her.

Yet in a little while, the girl lifted her head to look at the man, a trace of indignation apparent in her eyes. She would not surrender.
Nan Feng suddenly thought of Feng Gu.
If Feng Gu were like this girl, she wouldn’t be seated next to the Pork Butcher with such a dull look on her face.
Nan Feng could not bear to watch any longer. She immediately took out a scarf, covered her face, and kicked the man who was about to poke the girl with the needle.
The man, caught unprepared, was knocked down with her swift kick. Nan Feng turned around and kicked another man, knocking down another one.
The two men holding the girl had to let go and charged at Nan Feng. One of them even held a stick. Nan Feng easily dodged the stick. Jumping off a wall, she turned around and knocked down another one.
The girl, now on the ground, watched in stunned silence, then her eyes lit up with a glimmer of hope as she picked herself up from the ground, despite the pain.
The men were quickly defeated by Nan Feng. Worried they would recover and continue the pursuit, Nan Feng quickly grabbed the little girl and ran.
The girl had just been heavily kicked and should not have been able to run fast, but perhaps due to her desire for freedom, she gritted her teeth and ran as fast as she could with Nan Feng.
After shaking off the men, Nan Feng took the girl to her shop and lit a lamp.
In the lamplight, the girl, with alert eyes, looked around. All she saw were boxes of facial cleanser and masks, stacked neatly in diamond-shaped patterns by Nan Feng.
Nan Feng smiled, “Relax, this is just a shop. Only girls e here usually. You won’t be in danger and I certainly will not sell you.”
The girl looked at Nan Feng for a few moments, then suddenly knelt down, pounding her forehead against the floor in gratitude to Nan Feng. The impact of her head hitting the floor echoed through the room.
