On the last Wednesday of December, the cover of Dream Comic Journal was exclusively dominated by the protagonist of Hunter, Gon, and the popular supporting character, Hisoka.
The plot of this Chapter concluded with Gon and Killua learning the basic application of Nen Ability in just one day at Heaven’s Arena. Within the ti limit, they successfully blocked Hisoka’s Nen and advanced to the restricted upper floors of the arena tower.
It was precisely the exhilaration of this week’s Hunter storyline, far surpassing the earlier arc in which Gon struggled against the Zoldyck family, that allowed the manga to surpass one million fan votes on Dream Comic for the first ti, just five months after serialization began.
This achievent made Hunter the fifth currently serialized manga across all journals in the Japan to reach such a milestone.
anwhile, although only two months had passed since the release of Hunter’s first and second volus, Volu One had already sold 10.65 million copies, while Volu Two exceeded eight million copies and was rapidly approaching the ten-million mark. The series was clearly on track to average nearly ten million copies per volu.
As a result, at the Hoshimori Group’s annual gala on December 31st, Rei appeared as one of the headline figures, attending alongside the group’s contracted manga artists and its middle and senior managent.

Taking advantage of Rei’s current montum as the original author, the production company began large-scale promotional campaigns for their release.
The live-action adaptation of Five centiters per second was scheduled for February 14th, Valentine’s Day.
As for the live-action film of Tonight, it was set to premiere on August 26th.
The choice of release date for 5cm/sec made fans burst out laughing.

But on second thought, box office data over the past two years showed that painful youth films perford exceptionally well. Perhaps couples actually enjoyed watching stories like these on romantic holidays.
