"That little fellow hasn’t contacted with the royal seal recently."

"Perhaps they’ve suffered losses in this chaotic world?"

The Nine-colored Divine Deer sighed, looking at the Dangxiang Kingdom teetering on the brink of collapse, with its capital city indulging in songs and dances amidst the rising warfare across the land, where nobles clad in silks from the Central Plains displayed extravagant exteriors.

Night and day, the palace was filled with endless festivities.

It was said that the ruler of Dangxiang recently established the nation and proclaid himself emperor, also appointing a Crown Prince as the heir.

For the Crown Prince, they selected noblewon from various clans among the aristocracy.

Yet, the Emperor Wu of the Da Xia Kingdom in the Western Regions saw a young and beautiful noblewoman with a graceful figure, and on the wedding night, he brutally beat his son and forcibly took his original daughter-in-law for himself.

However, due to his imnse authority, none dared to say anything.

His son, who had been sent as a hostage to the Central Plains’ Chen Country more than two years ago, had his childhood sweetheart taken by his father, was beaten half to death, and thrown into prison in solitary desolation.

The closer a nation’s demise, the more boisterous and exuberant it becos.

Many unprecedented events kept occurring under this enormous pressure.

The Nine-colored Divine Deer gazed upon this land with compassion.

What familiarity.

If not for the larger city, if not for the locals dressed differently and speaking different words, she would almost think that the events unfolding were akin to those from hundreds or thousands of years ago.

In a trance, it was as if generations of kings were returning in cycles.

Claiming their Heavenly Mandate, uttering similar words, performing the sa deeds.

Proclaiming their own majesty.

These matters never changed.

The Nine-colored Divine Deer looked down at this prosperous human world, leapt away, but as she passed a place, she was suddenly filled with dread, and nine colors of light flashed above her head. She suddenly felt a pain in her waist, and golden blood poured out incessantly, falling to the ground. Turning back, she saw a cyan-colored arrow with barbs piercing her.

Only then did the sharp sound of breaking through the air follow.

The cloud layer beneath her feet was torn into a vortex.

Looking down, she saw the blazing banners.

The Regent King Chen Fubi stood on a high slope of the Western Regions, his war bow in hand letting out a fierce whistling like thunder, his temples gray with the unnatural aging for his years. His gaze was like a hawk’s, staring at the sky, saying, "It’s a pity..."

"I just glimpsed a nine-colored radiance, seed like so treasure or divine beast leaping by."

"I intended to shoot it down to see what it looked like."

"Yet it was so keen, managed to escape my shot. What a pity..."

The Wolf King tossed his bow aside. Beside him, the famous General Xiao Wuliang caught it. This clearly-featured, clean-shaven Divine General said, "It should be the legendary Nine-colored Divine Deer of the Western Regions, just like our Central Plains’ Ancient Red Dragon and the Academy’s Qilin, an Innate Divine Spirit."

The Wolf King casually replied, "Yes, just like Li Wanli’s Fire Qilin."

"I just wanted to see if such a mystical legend..."

"...the divine beasts symbolizing majesty in murals and epics could be killed."

"If it could be killed, it would be a significant blow to the morale of the Western peoples. Alas, there remains a certain mystery."

The Wolf King’s eyebrows were disdainful; he cared nothing for the so-called Innate Divine Spirits and majestic ons. He was a domineering commander, a Fierce General who wielded power across the world for decades; after many rises and falls, he no longer believed in grand fortune or Heavenly Mandate.

The Red Emperor had the Red Dragon, yet the dynasty still fell.

Li Wanli had the Qilin and still died inside the palace.

He walked with a sword but still limped, his gait sowhat unsteady. He was born with uneven legs, his walk was never steady, but in his youth, it was not this bad. This leg wound, a gift from the once World’s Number One Divine General.

Boundless murderous aura pierced to the bone.

After breaking with Li Wanli and being defeated by him, his martial arts were abolished, and the injury worsened. Although later, through various ans and by cultivating Chen Country’s ancestral Divine Skill, he spent his longevity, restoring and even advancing his capabilities, yet this martial skill did not excel in healing the body, and the injury remained.

Now, when storms rage, the murderous aura of the world’s number one Divine General still stabbed his bones like a handful of thin ice needles fine as ox hair, excruciatingly painful.

Xiao Wuliang said, "Though I’m not sure why, the Dangxiang Kingdom’s national fortune collapsing is like a Great Formation protecting them losing its effectiveness. Not to ntion the city formations losing at least twenty percent of their power, that’s still trivial."

"But after their monarchs, officials, and generals learned this news..."

"Their hearts were all in panic and fear."

"So nobles and generals have already defected to us."

"My lord..."

The Regent King said calmly, "Kill them all."

Xiao Wuliang’s heart trembled.

This limping Old Wolf King spoke indifferently, "If the Dangxiang people can betray the country they created, they would certainly betray us soday, betraying their own kind."

"They must die!"

"Wavering minds, sotis contacting us, sotis loyal to the Dangxiang."

"Snakes and rats, willy-nilly. They must die!"

"But those most steadfast Dangxiang people, loyal to their country and tribes, we should respect them."

"They must die."

Three declarations of death, killing intent stern and chilling.

Xiao Wuliang silently pondered, "With such a firm attitude, the Dangxiang Kingdom might be unified under imminent pressure."

Chen Fubi said, "That’s precisely what we want."
